  • Judges should see the connection between these techniques and the resulting performances and not reward the results. I see exaggerated movement, unpleasant stiffness for both horse and rider and no sign of lightness and calm. These performances may amount to good circus spectacle, but certainly not artful riding. If this is the performance that continues to be rewarded by judges, I see no end in sight to rollkur, hyperflexion or LDR. It's up to them to judge, and us to judge the judges

  • Although I am not a fan of dressage for welfare reasons, I think we need to encourage positive steps. This is a positive step.

Another positive step would be to report stewards whom you feel are not enforcing these rules.

  • heuschmann also said, that he wouldn't warm up a horse in Low deep and round position!

the FEI's decision might be a step in the right direction, but the criticism wont stop here! Instead of hyperlexion we have LDR? that's just great. the stewards were allowed to step in before but did nothing about bad riding. the steward have to interfere! Who makes sure that happens?

so the progressive list was also made in the interest of horse welfare? Don't make me laugh!
