I love Sherlock's little laugh after he says "nobody could be that clever" and John says "You could". I think that, in that moment, we caught a teensy glimpse of Sherlock's more... human side. But I think we all know at this point that he faked his death, so all that was really just acting. So the actor(Benedict)'s character is a great actor....

He IS upset, because he is lying to his best friend John, he is leaving people he cares about for who knows how long, making them believe in a lie, making them believe he's dead. And he even tries to make John think he is a fake, so it would be easier on John... when what he was afraid of was John not believing in him.(the way he explodes when he mistakenly thinks John might start doubting him)

Might is just an expression here that means something like "even though this is true"... for example like using may in the following "Times may change but human nature stays the same." Anyway you said 'so all that was really just acting' and I wanted to say that nope, it wasn't all acting. Glad you agree with me. Though yes, the character Sherlock is a good actor as well, as we've seen before. xD

To me, it felt like a jump in his "humanity"… up until 2x02 he was just like *not* human (except for the glimpse with Irene), and then suddenly all of his "attachment" to his friends shows. Or doesn't, and he just played us all. Which, knowing Moffat, is entirely possible. I also don't believe Moriarty really committed suicide… nope, I really don't :p.
