One thing that is definitely clear is that Jesus Christ will return, will destroy sin and Satan, and will reign victorious. And us together with him :) . That ought to be a great source of encouragement to any first-century Christian undergoing persecution.

there is no pre trib rapture. christians are saved THROUGH the tribulation. just like israel(hebrews) during the plagues in the old testament.
