Wow man, if this was not a very low quality gameplay, it would almost be better than FIFA 11 :O. I mean: even in fifa 11 they don't throw the baal to the player when you have a throw in :P

I have this game on 3 different platforms and PS1 is the best by far; the Sega Saturn version is vile and unattractive by comparison; the Mega Drive 'equivalent' is horrendous and dreadful. I'm saying that as a huge fan of retro games and consoles too, the Sega Saturn in particular, but please be assured that FIFA 97 was a whole lot worse ( the indoor mode excepted). If you never bought it, consider yourselves fortunate.

This is probably the laziest conversion of Fifa 98 there is. Compared to the PS1 version, it looks like no effort went into porting this over to the Saturn at all. The pitches, nets and players themselves all look awful. Still I used to really enjoy playing it though. Shame you can't edit custom teams and kits anymore in the console versions.

ok that version is the same with the psx' version i so i don't what is so crappy about it....and the only negative about this game is that it was rediculasely easy....playing fifa 98 on psx in have scored a goal from an offside free kick...believe it or not i don't care...

well if you compare it to pes 2009 and fifa 10 it sure sucks... after fifa 99 all fifa sequels suck but fifa 98 and 99 was one of the best games ever...
