The way his family accepted his condition, but did NOT accept the "experts" telling them to give up on him reminds me of the difference that Special Olympics has made in seeing the spirit, the person inside of children who used to just be hidden away. I can't imagine that they were pretty much told to throw this kid away ! What a bright, cheerful, happy spirit to share life with! Makes you know who is really "blind" & "retarded" SUFFER UNTO ME !

This movie is incredible I love I mean I have had a lot of hardship in my life because my mom died when I was 12 and I mostly befriend people who get teased and beat up but this is wat I say to them I say if you knew how much this person suffers and onley you to pile on and make it worse I'll bet you your stomach turn you will get that lump in you r throat that triggers the tears

Reading through the comments, there was not one troll, not one bad comment, I must comend the entirety of the people who watched, made, and starred in this short-film. This is wat u call a amazing kid I am 13 myself and tht touch my heart and made me thank god for wat I hav this Luke is very special and those other kids tht make fun of him r jealous tht they can't be as cool as him.. Good luck luke on meeting seger someday. He is the nices man you can ever meet. I remember Bob one time in the sixties coming down to Athens, Ohio from Columbus. Stopping off at KFC for chicken. Which was Bob's favorite.
Bob and his then drummer Pep drove all the way back to Columbus asap. They had a gig that night at The Sugar Shack. Good luck Luke on getting to meet Bob. I know you will soon. Bob is world's greatest rock star and nicest man I have ever known. Angels4BobSeger says so. Sandy

Really I think it's amazing story.. And I have a friend who had the same condition but sadly he is no longer with us.. But it's nice to know what he did for that lady. I will have to tell me son who goes to LaVista Jr. High which is right outside of Omaha to watch this

@mckinney456 - I am Lukes Older Brother and I wanted to let you know that Luke does not get his ass kissed. He is treated like any other member of our Family. Luke has been through more in one day than most people go through in their entire lives. He IS a great kid and he deserves to hear people tell him he is cool and to rock on. Ever think of that?

i had no shit to to, it was early in the morning and i was bored, and i faced myself with this video, and i just have to say, this kid is amazing, keep it up luke, it touched me to the fullest, this little guy can do anything, and this proves that we can do what ever we dream to do, im not christian or anything , but god is with us, and god bless this kid, keep it up luke :)
