The thing that impressed me the most was how he managed to turn this song into almost an anthem and get all of us singing... yet it didn't lose anything from the original.

Thanks very much for your response and giving your impressions...........!

I'm originally from the UK and first saw Numan in 1980 @ Manchester Apollo and then made the 2nd of the Wembley nights in 81........Best ever concert of all time!

More recently, I've seen him both times in Switzerland, 2001 Pure Tour in Basel and then 2006 in Geneva for Jagged tour.

Both European tours were more or less smallish alternative clubs so that's my surprise that he's done these big theaters in Australia!

Hi, Turnout was good. Funnily enough the Gold "seated" tickets sold out in a snap (and you could not get them for love or money on ebay even)... gold moshpit (front of stage) was still available on the day... Tells you something about the median age of the fans???

...And.... he was brilliant. Far better than 1980. I took a couple of friends who remembered him but were not at all fans... Until now- blown away with the power. Even I was left in awe.
