This is not side chaining - this is called modulating volume via lfo via Love Philter - but this is def. a good example of what kind of happens to the volume of instruments when they are side chained because of compression.
Hey this is really a good tutorial ! :) But when i side-chain, i use fruity peak controller. Is this a better and more accurate method than using the peak controller? Or is it just another way of side chaining?
@Deerysham peak controller is the way to go pal... you can use love philter sidechain, on efx maybe some pads or other bits and pieces, but not bassline, leads , plucks etc... so yeah peak controler is better and more accurate method. p
it is wonderfull to see that, even if you don´t add any FX on your sidechain, the difference in the final product will be notorious. Allways assemble different. Now, I allways assign diferent INSERTs to any channel even if EMPTY. I use also stereo separation: the different sound frequencies are much clear now.
one question, how would your record that for a finished project? so you have it playing normal then the loop comes in(where you turned it on) ,then goes normal again (when you turned it off)
I've been using FL for 7 years now, pretty much know the program inside & out. But NOT ONE TIME did the thought ever cross my mind to use FL Love Philter for sidechaining. I hate all the bs you gotta go through with the other 2 popular ways of doing it (limiter or peak controller) and this is literally perfect. I will be using this method now everytime I need to sidechain something, thanks!!
Awesome job! thanks helped a ton!
