supraholics was right! it was a tach issue, more like a tach signal converter issue i completely forgot about. (notice it was idleing low, now it shows its idleing completely normal for a 2jz) you will notice in the vid it still cuts slightly early, im not sure if thats just a bug i have to fix or the shift softener on the auto ecu's. but its passing the 6.5k redline with ease now
mine does this in park... its stock 01 impala but it will do it a 4k...i thought it was odd

adjusting the signal converter changed it.. the converter was set for a 8 cylinder instead of 6

i stole my grandparents civic and it hit limiter at 5,500 in neutral. in gear it limited at like 7,500.
it might be same with supra i dont know

Looks like you have a tach issue. The engine sounds like is revving past 6K RPM...
