  • Awesome video! Never seen that before. Thanks!

  • "Thomas Hearns - WBC Welterweight Champion" WTF???, lol even when Tommy was a welterweight champion, he had the WBA belt.

Also lmao at Dolph trying to sound all sophisticated.

  • damn these two fights are each better than any in the last ten years.

oh and btw hearns would have clapped hagler if his hand didn't break.

  • marvin hagler was cool as fuck

  • Man I miss the 80s I could drink 4 nights in a row and was none the worse for it.Now,get outa here!!!

  • This is James Shuler daughter Tiffney. These video clippings is pretty much what i hold on too( all I have anyway) of my father. God knows my heart and I'm sure daddy does also. Win or lose, he will always be my hero. I'd give my last breath to see him again. Missin you , needin you. Your daughter, Tiffney.

  • awesome clip, nice one!

  • why was there no rematch???

  • One name: Sugar Ray Leonard. Hagler and Hearns were on course for a superfight rematch in 1987 but Sugar Ray Leonard came out of retirement wanting to fight Hagler. That fight got made instead of Hagler-Hearns II.

If Marvin had beaten Sugar Ray in April 87, I'm thinking he would've rematched Tommy at the end of the that year and it would've been his farewell fight. He would've beat Tommy again and went out on top

  • where did tommy say about avoiding mugabi? tommy avoided NO-ONE thru out his career.

  • All the talk before was of a Hagler v Hearns rematch. Hearns was begging for it.

If Mugabi had beaten Hagler, I doubt Hearns would have fought him. Manny Steward avoided Mugabi for 3 years. Hell Hearns even admits it in the interview.

  • he didnt "admit" shit.. hagler wished muagbi success at 154, tommy made a joke sayin it was his division before sayin he was moving up anyways.. which he already had with d shuler fight, n mugabi didnt say he was moving down til after hagler so hearns didnt duck him.. he never ducked nobody.. d fantastic 4 of d 80s were warriors.. or 3 of em. leonard ducked several fighters including hagler n hearns.. but hagler n hearns themselfs n duran aswell never ducked nobody

  • Interesting clip. Several times it is mentioned that Hearns and Hagler were going to have a rematch. This may have happened if Sugar Ray Leonard had not announced a couple of months later that he wanted to fight Hagler. A Leonard fight was more attractive than a Hearns rematch, so Hagler took that route.

  • It was the 80's, everything was homosexual.

The music, the hair, the clothes - all gay.

  • @loadedsixstring then came the 90's. everyone all decided it was time to come out of the closet.

  • Dolph is the homo-est homo in the history of homos.

  • @DooDooSmooch he was Sweet-ish

  • Fantastic clip, great to hear what Hagler and Hearns had to say about a proposed rematch. Thier fight is my favourite fight of all time, it would have been great to have seen a rematch.

Oh yeah the Hagler - Mugabi fight turned out to be a good one too didnt it.

  • Yeah Dolf looked kinda Queer...lol
