@arian1945 - I very much doubt St. George was Turkish he lived in the Hellenistic Eastern Roman Empire. he was probably Greek by language and culture,Turks did not come to what is now Turkey till after 1000 CE,St George is supposed to be 4th Century.
The traitors that run the English gov't should be thrown out. As you know Wednesday was St.Patrick's day, a mjaor cultural day for us across the pond but it sickenings me when I hear English people can't celbrate St.George's day becuase of of gutless tolls in the English gov't are arfaid of offending Irish people. I love St.Patrick's day and I don't want it tarnish by those that refuse to allow the English the same right. God Bless Harry, King George and Sir John.
kevyster This Government will not celebrate St.George's day so as not to upset the muslims etc..not the Irish..English men have drank with me on St Patricks day and I with them on St Georges day!!!
And yet another gem for St George's Day from my pal Ray, well done, loved it hun!
Always keep St George in your hearts my friends, he will always walk with you, keep you strong and help you to come through the battle to tell the tale of victory,we shall have ours again one day!
Beautiful video, Ray. I will always call England, England. Not "the UK", not" Britain." England is the place I wanted to go and the place I did go. That green and pleasant land. Happy G day, all!
Sorry I sometimes make the mistake of calling the English, British ! I have had English men call me American, because I live in North America it is correct; however American usually refers to somebody from the U.S. thanks for the video!
i was just thinking about the good old old old old old english oak trees that has see it all in our england over the century our history wars and some peace here and there yerp our flag has been round sinch some of these oak trees houndreds of years and they seen it all like our oak trees lets keep our flag flying for ever more
I always fly it today, and on forms where it asks for what ethnicity in the white section, I never tick British, I tick 'other' and write English in the box, and I don't care if it upsets them.
I've been saying this for years! To me being English has nothing to do with racism. I'm proud of being English, just as Ian Wright is proud of being English. Being British means nothing now; and you'd never catch a Scot calling himself British, so why should we?
Edward was canonised in 1161. He was the patron saint of England until replaced by St George

The three party Common Purpose 'Rainbow Coalition' that sits in Westminster would have all our patriotic heritage wiped from our history.
We must keep these glorious tunes alive.

Don't worry about that my friend, it happens ALL THE TIME over here.
On TV, radio and even in 'our own' parliament, the English are always referred to as 'British'.? England has become 'Britain' in there eyes.
So you are not alone....O.O....

It was seen as 'racist' to fly the Cross of St.George flag or to even say you were English.
The majority of English people don't even know what is happening to their own country.!
I'll watch out for your other half's comment:)

I was once very proud to be 'British' and looked no the 'Union flag' with pride....!
No more, the union flag is a nonsense, it means nothing now.
I hear that Mr Broon is flying the CoSG over No 10.???????? WHY.!
Thanks for droppimg by:)
