  • brought a tear

  • This piece of music is too short _ I want it to go on forever.

  • @maninthestreet01

Same here. I saw the film for the very first time last week, amd I'm still obsessed with it.

Is there something wrong with me??

  • @maninthestreet01

uhh...you know you just replied to your own comment that you made 4 hours before, right?

    x_x

  • And Amen to the both of you lol

  • ... Eli se despide de Oskar porque tiene que irse....

  • American do remakes because they are to narrow minded(stupid) to go and watch a foreign movie and actually enjoy it, kinda like the spanish that dub every fucking movie

  • I'm probably going to post this on anything related to this movie. But really I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend the book.

  • @Oisilky Yes indeed;fabulous book!!

  • one of the best soundtracks ever made and not enough people will ever get to hear it....are there any other great soundtracks from lesser-known movies as good as this?

  • @stigno87 I don't know about the whole soundtrack but the song from little miss sunshine, the winner is, is really good.

  • Heart breaking but beautiful

  • What great music and film from Schweden

  • Just saw similar comment after i posted.!!!

    No plagiarism intended..sorry. ^U^

  • I was so impressed i ended up buying the soundtrack.Simply stunning.

  • beutiful

  • ilove her^^

  • This is the only movie is the world that makes me cry :::l

  • This is by far my favourite piece of music from the film. Its a haunting track which really stays in my mind from a beautiful film and i never honestly thought i'd find myself listening to classical music, but this is a calming tune.

'Let the right one in' will always be the better film out of the two because the characters are painfully lonely and it has much darker undertones.'Let me in' isnt a bad film-infact its very good-just not an equal to this original.

  • @vegas2004

I agree with that. Eli is such a more tragic, beautiful and interesting character. This music is perfect for her, and just look at that picture of her - those eyes.

  • I had my friend who's a composer write down this piece for the violin but unfortunately it doesn't sound nearly as amazing with only one violin playing it... D:

  • @ca1cifer

I'm buying a piano after a few years without one. Going to play this on piano. With the right use of the sostenuto pedal, I think this will sound beautiful.

  • @the81kid When you do, do you mind writing it down and sending me the sheet music? :D

  • @ca1cifer

i'll remember. but it may be a while yet. really miss the piano, but i am always so busy...

i teach english in madrid these days. but i'll remember you when i do!

  • @the81kid Yay! Thank you! ^^

  • What a beautiful film. And how beautiful is this music?

  • This is the best vampire movie ever made, this is how you do a vampire love story. well done Eli, well done Oskar.

  • @akumatekkusu666

My thoughts exactly! LTROI saved my interest after the apalling Twilight films.

Such a beautiful film, and this music is heavenly!

  • You're smoking crack if you think Let Me In is better than Let the Right One In!

  • @TheFlyingPortagee

haha, and this music to the original is beautiful. it's like i'm 12 again and dreaming

  • the frist love is the hardist i know we can move on

  • thankyou for makeing me more open to this

  • The American remake is pointless. It becomes an average film. The original is SUPERB!

  • @NaturesCycles

Absolutely. Shame though....maybe some people can't read and eat popcorn.

  • @NaturesCycles ABSOLUTELY!!!! Best movie ever made, in my opinion! I'm American, but NO American movie can ever beat LTROI!!

  • @laurelfan1 FINALLY!!!! SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME!!! LTROI is the BEST!!!

  • @laurelfan1 I agree with you completely - it's the best movie ever made. My favourite, for a multitude of reasons. Would you agree the original is impossible to beat, and that the remake was pointless?

  • @RealDougal Absolutely!

  • @laurelfan1 And Amen to you also!:)

  • @RealDougal I would have to say Amen to you!

  • @NaturesCycles I dunno, I liked the remake. Not as much as the original of course, but still really well done. Too bad the soundtrack wasn't as memorable as this one though

  • AMAZING Theme!! It Invokes All The Appropriate emotions in Such a Beautifully Told Fairy Tale!!

  • i watched let me in ad let the right one in to see which one is better let me in is wayyyy better

  • @mayful1 Bollocks.

  • @mayful1 How? It's just a carbon copy with different actors and very few minor plot changes... the original will never be beaten, as is the same for hundreds of brilliant movies that have been made before.

  • @mayful1 ...and you are... 10?

  • This is the most beautiful music I have ever heard in my life.

  • @LadyNoelle1 I agree. I profoundly dislike anybody that disliked this truly inspiring masterpiece.

  • @LadyNoelle1 I completely agree with you!

  • Is the one in the "Be me a little scene"?

  • @jmanzano17 I'm not sure about that particular scene, but it definitely plays when Oskar and Eli kiss near the end of the film.

  • Great music, from one of the greatest movies ever made. Pity so few people actually saw it..

  • what a film! not like the stupid "american" remake trash !

  • suck on THAT twilight

  • @rocioyea

    Ahahaha, yes!

  • @rocioyea

Haha. Vampires used to suck blood, not suck ass!

  • våldigt bra film så bra det var utmärkt.

  • If I want a movie that speaks to my mind I watch 2001 or There Will Be Blood

If I want a movie that speaks to my inner child I see Raiders Of The Lost Ark

But if I want to see a movie that speaks to the deepest parts of my heart and my soul I see Let The Right One In

I know I may be an asshole for saying this, but I feel sorry for anyone who will never see this movie. It is THAT good.

And the OST is just like the movie itself. Dark, eerie, chilling and ambient, yet beautiful and vulnerable.

  • beautiful pice of music. Haunting and beautiful at the same time. Glad you shared it here for everyone to enjoy.thanks.

  • I love Eli.

  • True masterpiece

  • like..

  • this movie is emotional :') its my favorite movie in the world <3

  • 13 people bullied Oskar.

  • Best Theme I've ever heard, and I didn't even watched the Film.......

  • @KRizmaTV Please, please watch the film. It really is incredible, and makes you understand on a whole other level just why this music is so haunting and beautiful.

  • Does anyone know where to find tabs for this song?

  • @TanyaRayne Actually, if you write an e-mail to the composer, he might send you the guitar tabs for this song. Find Johan Soderqvist's official page. His e-mail address is there. He wrote back to me, told me he has a friend living here in Brasil. A very nice guy! (-:

    (sorry my english)

  • Comment removed

  • Incredibly stylish movie

  • Does anyone know any other songs similar to this?

  • @TanyaRayne I love the song named "The Father" from this OST and also listen to Beethovens - Moonlight Sonata.

  • astonishingly beautiful movie.

  • 12 dislikes were not invited in

  • @dbabbjr What about his relationship with the man who he threw out the window? Why do you think that that man was caring for Eli? How long do you think that man had been caring for Eli?

  • Quick way to ruin all the "love story" interpretations of this movie; Eli is just a parasite looking for another human who can be easily manipulated and cater to her needs, since the last one got caught. Oskar is a fucked up little boy who Eli turns into her slave. The book may be different, but that's the movie for sure.

  • @dbabbjr You should've watched the Swedish one first. Let Me In was great, but the Swedish one blew it away in comparison.

  • I don't normally listen to music like this or watch movies like it but it's sweet and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it

  • @dbabbjr it was the same thing with me but after I watched the swedish movie wich was made before the american i realized it is way better,it is more realistic and you´ll see that the american version is just copying everything from the swedish version but not as daring and correct.swedish version has actors who are like oskar and eli from the book(american actors were to old and to developt for the roles),also american version is in places ˝overdoing it˝ and in other places not doing enough.

  • @HannahLemon

even though ElI is actuall a boy calles Elias who had his genitals chopped off (read the book ;) !)

  • Both the Swedish and the American enterpretation of the book are very good!

But the Swedish movie wins the race by far with its haunting music !

  • this reminds me of final fantasy for some reason. I love this movie, one of the best movies i have ever seen and this song is just magical.

  • I will call my daughter Eli.

  • i fell in love with this movie the first time i saw it, it just took my breath away. I will never forget this movie, it gave me a feeling that no other movies can ever give. The acting was incredible, and the story was just so gripping. Definitely a classic.

  • made me cry

  • this song is beauty incarnate

  • 11 people were viciously attacked by cats

  • @WARCHIEF290 LOL :D :D

  • wonderful music, all of the tracks actually, add sso much to the atmoshere of the film, creates the right mood and reflects the story well.

  • c'est vrais comme un poème sans parol

  • I can't say anything cause i have not seen this one yet, but i just saw " Let me in " And it was amazing !!

  • @Mikemugee You need to need to see "Let The Right One In". You may change your opinion of "Let Me In". Everyone is different, but I hate "Let Me In", but I suppose if I had seen it before seeing LTROI, I may have thought it was pretty good, but since I didn't it's impossible for me to like it. It's awful. Again, everyone is different. That's just my opinion :D Do yourself I favor and watch LTROI, but watch the one with the theatrical subs, which is here on YT. Type in Let The Right One In 1/12

  • @laurelfan1 very well put. everything even this masterpiece is relative

  • @laurelfan1 I just watched it and I have a soft spot for languages so once i found out it was in swedish my eyes were glued to the screen : D

I have to admit both movies are amazing they both are equally great movies in my eyes love them both. very good !!!!

  • @Mikemugee That's awesome. Glad u liked it. i knew u would. Yeah I love languages. I want to learn Swedish so bad! There's a girl on here who teaches Swedish. The name of her channel is Go Swedish!. She has an iPhone app, too. I'm gonna start watching her again and start studying again. I want to learn Estonian as well. I love a good challenge. Estonian is VERY hard to learn.

  • This movie was absolutly wonderfull! It had everything action, friendship, love, just the whole atmoshpere of the film draws you in emediatly in the beginning.

  • Beautiful music going with a beautiful movie. Perfect match.

  • boss

  • This movie is simply beautiful, one of the greatest vampire stories ever told. For me that remake was unncesary, this movie is perfect just as It is.

It was a pathetic use of originality from the director, If filmmakers have any respect for movies such as these and their honors they should stop doing remakes.

What the hell is happening to Holywood? They have runned out of ideas and pick a pathetic road remaking and "americanizing" the imagination and stories of true filmmakers. Stop Remakes.

  • @Quiropiusco I couldn't agree more :)

  • The best film in the world "Let The Right One In" <3 :)

  • @Egerke73 God! I feel exactly the same thing about this movie, can't compare it to anything else !

  • @Egerke73 ABSOLUTELY!!!

  • @Egerke73 I agree with you completely.

  • @TheEnglishAtheist1 As do I (strange choice of wording, I know, but that's just me all over lol).

  • @RealDougal It is fine.

  • @RealDougal This film is too beautiful for such simple wording to change that.

  • Ah, I love "Let the right one in" so much

  • (Sniffle) (Sniffle) I'm not gonna cry.... I'm not gonna cry.... (Bwaaaaahahhaaaahhaaaa)

  • this song is supernatural, there can be something as beautiful and magical at the same time! is so stunning!

  • I cannot imagine how anyone would dislike this... makes me sad.

  • piękny soundtrack, piękny film... <3

  • :´ )

  • The book is heartwrenching......

  • @michiyo1986 yes it certainly is.

  • I love eli no matter she is a boy or girl

  • @Cool56776 It's just a joke. Sorry to confuse you, people! :p

  • Oskar isn't Hakans replacement. Think of Highlander but vice versa. Oskar will become older and die - Eli seems to be forever young. But their love will last forever. Against all odds.

  • The use of music this movie really emphasis the characters emotions.

  • this is how sadness sounds like

  • i just wish Oskar wasnt just Hakan's replacement..i felt sorry for Oskar in the end...T_T

  • @koala8 He's not, watch the movie carefully again and you can discover why this is not the case. Oscar and Eli have genuine feelings for each other.

I've always interpreted it that Oscar eventually becomes a vampire as well eventually and they live together as such. I think either way it's clear she's not merely using him.

  • @SpinCycleSubmission

yeah ur right....apparently the author wrote a sequel to Let the right one in. and Oskar becomes a vampire or something...it was such a cute movie

  • @SpinCycleSubmission Exactly. The story is supposed to be about Eli finding the first person that he's ever truly cared about - the first person that he's ever loved... I know because whenever I think of this film/book, I think of the most genuine, most innocent romance I've ever seen before.

  • This song is like a poem, but without words.

    <3

  • @Daphuhnuh i totally understand that

  • @Daphuhnuh THIS MOVIE IS NUMBER ONE IN MY SOUL IT HAS UNDERSTANDING EMPATHY LOVE AND DRAMA BETTER THAT THAT TWILIGHT MORMON CRAP OR THAT HBO TRUE BLOOD AND DONT FOR GET THE BULL SHIT REMAKE LET ME IN YEAH LIKE SOME BODY IS NOCKING ON THE DOOR LET ME IN IS MICK OH PLEASE HOOLYWOOD STOP COPY MOVIES THAT ARE NOT YOURS SHIT

  • @maxismax100

Actually I love True Blood. But I completely agree with the rest that you say.

And yes 'Let Me In' does sound like someone is standing at the door screaming: 'Let me in!' :P

  • @kcmet79

    I so agree with that.

  • @kcmet79 Do you mean the film to the song or the song itself?

  • @kcmet79 The lack of dramatic music made it suck.

  • I just like the movie saw it the first day out came out bitches :P

  • this song is very related to let me in!

  • Hi all! maybe you do enjoy my song "Eli´s Loneliness". I made it with her in mind, because I love this movie!!! ;)

  • LMI is how i first discovered LTROI, both the movie and the book, watched LTROI on youtube, then bought and read the book...both movies are very moving, but the book was on a whole other level. the book had great event placement, writing style, and characteristics. the book inspired me to write again...after some odd years

  • i recently buy this on blu ray.i dont wanna miss this masterpieace movie

  • this score was featured at facebook/greatsoundtracks

  • GoaskAlice, I am referring to a short story epilogue written by Linquist. It is NOT in the book LTROI. Oscar DOES become a vampire. It has just been published.

  • I loved this movie! Let me in on the other hand :/ ehhh...

  • Sorry for the double post. The story will be published in a new paperback printing of PAPERWALLS. Sometime this spring in the UK last I heard. Not sure exactly when. I'm in the US so I hope I can get a copy as I want to read it too.

  • Eli brings him over as a vampire. They are still out there , still 12, and still in love.

  • @yodakiller1138 If you're talking about Oskar, that's not true. Read the book.

  • A short story has just been published in Sweden by the author of LTROI.Elli brings him over right after the train reaches it's destination. It end in October 2008 where they are still together as vampires.

  • @yodakiller1138

Really? :D Do you have any idea if this story is going to be translated in English? My first language is Dutch, but I'm pretty sure it won't ever be translated in Dutch, so I want to read it in English so so badly. Please let there be an English translation of 'Let the old dreams die'!

  • @yodakiller1138 No, it doesn't say that in the book. :/

  • OMG love this

  • instead of having to kill people to feed her , i would have just went around robbing blood banks !

  • Raw, real, original. Well worth seeing - even with subtitles.

  • one of the best movies i ever saw in my life... gorgeous...

  • @mosu95 Absolutely. i think ppl are beginning to believe I'm nuts loving this masterpiece, but then again they haven't seen it. It is the essence of true art in cinema.

  • In my next life, I will meet a girl like Eli, true love.

  • @baboboi01 Be careful what you wish for. Being with Eli means you'll have true love, but it also mean no sex. Being in love with a forever pubescent 12 year old vampire has some negative consequences. But yes. We all love Eli. :-)

  • @kyoungd Not only the no sex thing, it is what happened to her last love. In the end they get tired of cleaning up after her, they get old, they get sloppy, they end up pouring acid over their faces to keep her safe and finally asking her to kill them to be released. No love can survive when it is one sided, she was quite nasty when she didn't get what she wanted. Sad for her but needed someone equal to her to make it work.

  • @jerramy You are thinking about "Let me in", and for that precise reason, I believe Abby is manipulative and evil. Eli never had another love before Oskar. Oskar is Eli's first love and vice versa. The future for Oskar and Eli? What is the price we are willing to pay for true love? Anyway, it is a cinematic masterpiece.

  • wow! what a beautiful song! is let the right one in as good as people make it seem to be? which movie is better? let me in or let teh right one in? thanks =]

  • @Missy3737 yes watch: let the right one in, and you will think about that movie alot, its really beautifull and nothing like : let me in.

  • @eljosso omg! thank you so much for responding! i will definitely watch it then thanks! :D

  • Very lovely. Reminds me a lot of Barber.

  • This song is very beautiful..so sad. I love it, thank you!

  • Strange... for a moment I thought I heard some morse code in the background towards the end of the theme... Played it again and couldn't hear it. Must be my imagination... right?

  • Happy Let Me In (US) dvd/bluray release day! Go get your copy! If you haven't seen it, go rent it. Then, you'll fall in love and go buy it. Loyal to the original, with some changes. One of the better remakes you'll see. And the scores to both of these movies are AMAZING. Love Eli's Theme.
