You are a really amazing guitarist and I like this rendition of the song- so soothing and almost liquid-like! And your improv is clever like a fascinating tale being unraveled!
What an outstanding job you've done with this song! I was gonna upload a video of myself doing this tune but after seeing you do it the way you have I'm gonna go ahead and attempt my first chord melody. You've inspired me...
This is phenomenal - I'm tempted to order the new DVD... my mandolin playing (I posted the same tune on my channel) needs enough work as it is, so I don't know how I can add guitar work to the mix- but THIS is the style I'd love to be able to play. Beautiful- thanks.
Inspiring. I would rate you up there with the greats! I play a little and I notice that you don't look at the fretboard much. Did you actively work on that skill? Is it like touch typing-- if you can stop watching yourself you improve?
Thanks! Except for the basic melody and chords at the beginning and end, it's all improvised. I don't intend to not look at the hands, probably just a habit...
Wonderful wonderful harmony..... stumbled across your playingby chance... and what a find it's been!! Thank-you so much for all the great music.... your improvisations original yet so melodious! Have to listen to all of your recordings.
unbelievable! you seem way too young to be playing like that. it seems like a master class of all the greatest jazz guitarists rolled into one. effortless!
Jeeez, Jake! Is Ray Brown channeling through you? This is too, too perfect. We all love you,
but you are Arch Enemy Numero Uno with the companies that produce backing tracks! You
give them reason to lower their projected earnings if enough people see how you've turned your axe into a Swiss Army Knife of sorts! ( Vic expressed so it so well!) ~Terry
Thanks for the kind support! As the economy has taken a hit and gigs (especially in Michigan) are more scares than ever, it's great to have such an attentive audience. Perhaps one day I can perform for all of you in person in the same room...
I'm not kidding when I say I have a lottery ticket in my drawer and you can believe that any lotto jackpot would translate into the world's greatest jam session converging from points all over the globe to Boca Raton, Florida! I'm sorry for all my musician friends who have hard enough time earning a living in the best of economies let alone this desk fiasco. Keep your spirit and the rest will follow. Thanks for your posting, ~Terry
I'm there! If there's room, save a spot for my buddy ironmonger100, his name is Shaun, a real nice player from England. You're probably a subscriber already but if not, check him out , I know you like to discover new great musicians.
I will definitely check out Shaun's site. Anyone who needs a seatbelt, safety harness, airbags, goggles, and/or a helmet while listening to Jazz, is
a kindred spirit to me! I've broadcast this outing of yours to guitar friends, too! They're busy refolding their emergency chutes, but will be along shortly.
Thank you Terry for this another discovery. Tha't true... this is too perfect. I just listening this with my eyes closed... Wow.. what a great expeirence.... I imagined someone beside me... hahaha!
Arlene, I love it that we can share guitar music. I followed Jake's suggestion to check out iron monger 100 up above, and not only was that awesome, but from there gangly1 should not be missed! Too bad you have such a demanding job. I could keep you very busy with brilliant artists here :-) Considering your beautiful videos, I didn't know your string side before!
Fantastic playing Jake, sounding like a mini-orchestra man, everything is there, bass, harmony, theme, improvisation and even when you take a free solo you're right on the spot in the chord sequence, this is what I call professional PLAYING,Vic.
How would I begin to become a better jazz player?? I play metal, rock, and country stuff, and Im tired of it, please respond! Thanks

Expertly and lightly done!
You have to showcase such talent with more snazz.
(Better set & lighting, sharper outfit, and showier old guitar.)
