Wow, this is the first time I have ever heard that Ron had claimed he could buy Haleigh back for $35,000.00. I don't believe it's true though. He couldn't have faked that emotion when she first was missing. Possibly he may have had a idea who was involved after a while but no way did he know for sure. Also if that were the case why would Misty&Tom tell the story about Joe, they would have just ratted Ron out instead of implicating themselves.

Grandma Flo is giving two conflicting stories and no one is calling her on it. Either that poor child is dead (according to the story of her being thrown in the lake) OR someone has her that will give her back for money. Both of those things can't be true. Arg.
@sammy2176 Grandma Flo was ONLY repeating what Ron stated about "If he had $35,000.00 he could get Haleigh back". Tim Miller mentioned this way back and someone donated the $35,000.00 but nothing ever happened. IIRC.
@angijuan They will serve at least 85% of their sentence and get credit for the days (months) they were in jail. I believe Hope Sykes is appealing her 15 years, and Tommy has something going also, however for most of the drug trafficking players, they will serve their sentence.

@Hans021220 It is a complicated background history on how Ron got custody of the children and not Crystal. Basically he took the kids on vacation and never returned them. He filed for custody of the children and then it went from there. Crystal had no job at the time of the custody hearing, she didn't know how to drive as Ron would let her get her license. The court gave custody to Ron has he had a job and basically his grandmother took care of the children. This only skims the reasons why.
@Sierra1947 There are MANY competent Dad's that this kind of thing does not happen to. Saying this would not have happened is like saying what if? There are no guarantees.
he courts gave Ron custody for a reason and not because the Mom couldn't drive. If that were the case where are the appeals from her to the courts wanting them to reverse custody to her? There are none.
This child ad some really bad parents and family and paid the price for it. I do hope they find the truth.
@sandygts Did you read all of the Family Court hearings from 5 years ago with regards to how Ron got the children in the first place and then how everything transpired from there?

I would have called and had him locked up for kidnapping when he did not show back up begin with. The court had NO proof she even cared as she did not show up or even try and did not inquire as to where they were when he took them and did not return. NO MOM WOULD ALLOW THIS!
whatever it takes the law enforcement is known to get the truth out.. They have all the time in the world to sit and think until they get tired of the arse hose that there new homes will provide for them. Then a murder trail ,, even if its years from now,, the truth will come out and Justice will be for Haleigh and her Family.
So he got a plea deal for agreeing to testify at his daughters criminal cases. WTF!!
Not that I agree w/ any of them being in jail for 15/70/240 years for 5k worth of prescription pills... I agree he needs to be in jail and getting a deal for something that you should do anyways and would be expected to do is beyond comical.
