838hp is to the wheels, hence 838 rwhp. When you do the math with the correct 21% drivetrain loss through thhe transmission, the car makes over 1000hp at the crankshaft. So yes, the engine is putting out over 1000hp, roughly 1010hp. Nice car btw.

@JS1200Player Its different for every car and application, but I think you can do it by measuring how fast the car slows down the rollers. However most are between 19-21% drivetrain loss I think. The only one that I am sure about though is the 6-speed TT Supra, which is 21%.

If thats true, isnt that simply a measure of the friction between the roller itself, the wheels and the roller, and sum of the parts that physically move the vehicle. I had not viewed the comments on this video for awhile. This video was not sped up or manipulated in any way. The camera car was going a steady 80mph and at no point did he press the brakes. I was driving my car at around 840rwhp at the time and at around 80mph just went WOT. This was back in the day with street tires, the car makes more power now.

Actually i do. I'm a professional video editor myself, so it isn't very hard to tell. First of all, listen to the tone of the car right as it takes off, second take a look at the background scenery. Spending 100 grand on a car and still having to speed up videos to make it look fast, now that sucks.

The sound of which car, the M3? You mean the sound of an accelerating car changes? Of course it changes its fucking accelerating. It also has to do with the dopler effect. And as far as the background goes, the camera is following the damn car as it goes by of course the background speeds up, but after the camera stops moving and just watches the car pull away the background goes back to "normal". You just have no idea what 1000 hp can do do you? And there is no way you are a pro editor.
