As soon as we are born we are programmed. Even before we wore born. The only way we could change our offspring's is by not even touching them, but by raising them in a completely sterile environment. The question is, lady: Are those teachings of Christ being actually practised? Those who defend such morals and so on are really being integrally living examples of those things? On the contrary, most of those who carry the Christian flag are interested in those things only when it's about defending Christ in a debate or something like that, or when they're in their masses, cults and so on, and the rest of the time they're monsters behaving the totally opposite way. So, it's about REAL ACTION.

K didn't have much tolerance to being handed a medal! I don't think he even liked being applauded. Someone said at the beginning of this video that after being given a medal he just went back to his room and brushed his teeth - for him that was how significant the medal was! He knew that you only have to give the ego an inch and it will want a mile. I don't think it was bec he was so different from us, only that he understood the self.
I'm sure he genuinely had no interest in the medal. If someone handed you a piece of cardboard you would not have to "resist the temptation" to adore it, you would know that it is meaningless, there is no question that a piece of cardboard is 100% meaningless, as is that "medal".
You shouldn't strive to "resist" the ego, but instead inquire as to why it and it's tendencies are there at all, that will make it vanish, not suppress it, which really is meaningless.
For anyone who Krishnamurti's talks you should get a copy of Ramana Maharshi's Who Am I?, once you've understood the process of inquiry contained in Ramana's book, Krishnamurti's talks are profoundly deep. Any good satsang has a lot in common with K's work as well. Eckhart Tolle is also similar to Krishnamurti as well. Once you know how to approach one you know how to approach the rest. It's all ways of observing mental content that eventually lead to the state of thoughtless awareness.
Krishnamurti's talks, even here at the U.N., are speaking of things that if you don't go to the trouble of investigating yourself do you no good to hear whatsoever. I've been doing inquiry into my own state of being for years now and have witnessed a number of the truths he speaks about in his talks and can see why he insists the listener to inquire himself and not accept what he says. Otherwise the concepts he puts forth can become just another useless belief in your mind and offer no freedom.
Very interesting human being...about 2 months ago Alex Jones spoke about this man on his show (while he was "debunking" zeitgeist) and he painted him out to be a very "evil" man whos goals were to create a global facist government more or less. Joey: A highly evolved being that he was, Krishnamurti could still be sarcastic, be in love with a woman(at the very end of his life they got together,did you know that?) He used to choose expressions like "sick and tired of it", words like "nonsense",etc.. I admire him even more for that. Gandhi felt at times frustrated,sad, and enraged by circumstances around him. I think not feeling any human emotion at all ever(even to a very small degree)is a bit of an unrealistic,romantic view.
U have done humankind a great service by posting these fantastic clips for us to share.
I will always be grateful to have had the oppertunity to have heard J.Krishnamurti speak at his Adayar compound end of 1985 when he was so frail, he sometimes did not deliver his speach.. just sitting in his presence was an awakening. thankyou again. xx
