Lol yeah. You can't buy the yaoi unless you're 18. Or you can get someone 18 to buy it for you. Because alot of them seem to check your age if you look too young. Or you could do what my friend did and find one of the sellers a yaoi SHE couldn't find and she'll ignore your age XD

lol yeah. I went to my first convention when I was 13, it's for all ages. Unless it's a con specifically for adults.

lol You can be any age to go XD. It depends on the con I supposeif you have to have parents with you. I never thought about it before ^^;

You made the swords? ^^ As long as they're not real weapons there's no reason not to bring them. they add to the costume usually. Its just a matter of convience since you will have to carry them around all day and it is possible you'll have to go to weapons check depending on the con... some do it some dont. Personally I love carrying around any weapons I made :D people tend to comment on how cool they are at the very least.
