Melodyland Christian Center in Anaheim was a former theater in the round, was a major force in the Jesus movement, like Calvary Chapel, during the late 'sixties and early 'seventies. Kathryn Kuhlman came there before she started having regular meetings at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A., but she only appeared once at Melodyland, and it was filmed. It is on youtube. Spillman went on to his own work elsewhere, and I often wonder what happened to him.
Many people fell down in God's Presence in the Bible...but I don't call it being "slain." I say the power of God over came me so strong that I can't stand.
Praise the Lord for the moving of the Spirit!!! Awesome testimony. I have experienced this kind of power in the Spirit just as he described it with the numbness, etc.

Jim was one of our Melodyland pastors for a few years. I have heard his testimony, and I always wondered what happened to him after he left.
