  • From Alta here; thank you for this great video.

Makes me wanna moive back; Living in southern parts of Norway now.

    Damn I miss Alta.... <3

  • @Imbalaya

It was beautiful in the summer though not I suspect as pleasant in the dark times.

  • Very interesting. Thank you.

  • @RustyTube

They were fascinating and I had never seen rock carvings before - so it was fascinating to see them.

  • incredible! thanks for this... i think there are cave pictures somewhere near where i live, but i've never been to see them.

  • @PrecambrianLullaby

This are impressive and are out in the open there in Northern Norway - the website says that the carvings are currently unavailable as they are under snow LOL - they have snow until May - I think. You should go and see the carvings and make a video about it.

  • @johncrwarner I will certainly do so the moment I overcome my incredible laziness. =3

  • @PrecambrianLullaby

Or you could just look for a video of the site and watch that instead LOL

  • @johncrwarner well, if i had to put money on which option were the more likely....

  • @PrecambrianLullaby

You would go for option 2 LOL

  • Yes the carvings are really nice. But were you really surprised it was light at day time (Info bar)? You maybe mean night time?

  • @skinnyjohnsen

I altered it to read "It was the end of July and still daylight for nearly 24 out of every 24 hours." as the word "day" was ambiguous in that I was using it for 24 hour period and it also means the light time of a 24 hour period. Thanks for the comment.

  • So where are the drawings of the dinosaurs..? ;)

  • @spaceman300

Sadly there were NO pictures of Adam and Eve riding dinosaurs - though some of the pictures were definitely ambiguous - they could have been anything LOL

  • I never knew of these before (facepalm). Thanks you the awareness raising experience. :D

  • @rtottenc

I was very surprised at hearing about them and visiting them - this was the same trip as Røros, Trondheim and Hell so this was a big highlight of the tour - we liked it so much we went back for afternoon tea there on the way home LOL

  • Very nice nature.. :)

  • @BasicModelling

The surroundings are stunning - I took some pictures of the scene from the café and I might put them in a future video.

  • Fascinating. I'd loved to have met the carvers. Gone hunting with them. I hope we'd have got along.

Is it a Seal, rather than a Bear? That's what it looks like, it could be a bear I suppose, they fish as well.

  • @TheBoyFromNorfolk

I was following the guide book which says its a bear and other bears on the rocks are similar to them in style.

I think you would have enjoyed it though - your addiction to metal and cotton might confuse them LOL
