@U83RH4X0R808 There are many reasons, but the main is that we shoot our projects for DVD, which is standard def. Most of the videos we shoot are taken straight off those DVD projects. There are some workflow benefits as well, but thats the main reason.
How did you get your hands on this lens. I have been eager to pick one up since they announced it a year ago! Did canon give you a lens to review because your excellent videos or did you actually buy one in a store?
@captainjman1976 They are super hard to find right now. Most retailers are lucky to get 1. I would imagine we will see an increase in production in a few more months. Canon has had some factory problems since the Tsunami.
@MichaelTheMentor A factory in Thailand that make Cannon stuff also flooded. I was surprise that they just announce a 1DX, hope they still able to release it.
thats gonna be my next project.

I love your vids, but why are they 4:3 instead of 16:9? You got all of these sweet cameras that shoot in HD.

@appacana The 16-35 is going to be more useful most of the time. If you dont have it, I would definitely say get that one first.
