The problem with religion is politics and it's inevitable involvement. Then it starts, members start not associating with non members, agendas, non tolerance for anything different because it's viewed as a threat. Were in a world of science and don't need the crutch any more. Nothing wrong with staying spiritual in nature.

@thkaal1 Nope, being a Jew can both refer to a religion AND an ethnicity. There are A LOT of atheistic Jews in Israel, the nation of Jews.

Gotta love Atheistic jews. It's funny how many people don't understand the notion of being an atheist- in terms of not believing in a god, but still keeping some of the traditions.

It's similar to why Hawaiian people still keep their traditions, such as "shark calling" or surfing in respect of their gods. They don't believe in the gods, but they still enjoy and partake in the rituals/culture that goes with it.

@thkaal1 Excuse me? Maybe you've not heard of religions which actually allow for Atheism, just because yours doesn't.

@thkaal1 I think what the description means is that she describes herself as atheistic, but she comes from a Jewish family, so culturally she is of Jewish heritage.
