Well the thing is, all good songs get imitated and variated a little bit in terms of chords and stuff. For example, Wavin' flag follows the chords C, A min, F, G (imo I call those the "peaceful" chords because they make people feel like they belong together). Same with tik tok and calfironia, it has a chord progression that has worked before and that's why people like dancing to it. (and also because of the lyrics maybe lol)
