Kind of silly to demonstrate the fluidity of motion using a YouTube clip since you can't tell if the jerkiness is in the demoed computer or the clip you are watching. Well, if everything flows smoothly then mission is accomplished anyhow.
This is fake I tell you, fake! This is all the video from the main menu, even a Pentium 0 can show that! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE THIS COMPUTER
Not sure where you get this idea from. If you adjust video settings and such, the performance and detail of the demo loop in the menu will change accordingly. If the demo loop was not rendered, the change in video settings shouldn't change the performance and detail levels (the best you'd be able to do is modify the video display resolution).
I read on Mike Rivero's WhatReallyHappened(.)com that the 80GB WinXP version comes with a virus called Recycled.exe which will infect your hard drive and any connected removable drives when the D: partition is accessed. Best thing to do for that particular model is completely wipe the hard drive and install another OS.
One of my co-workers brought up this news also. I spoke with the PM at ASUS and found that there was a production lot which somehow used an infected OS image (escaped QC's detection) and that OS image was for the Japanese region only. They have since modified the QC procedure, and probably dealt with the people on the production line. ASUS is pretty good about taking action right away.
I think it should be able to run in HD, but not sure about the performance for that size and resolution of display. I work in an industry that lets me obtain early tech like the Eee Box, in order to demonstrate them to potential customers.
Nope, its actually Far Cry. I have a demo box from ASUS which I dumped Far Cry on in order to see if it would run or not. Things like 3D Mark don't run so well, but so far Far Cry is running "okay". Graphics of course had to be turned down some.
thats what i am saying. I just meaned that you just show the menu, and the Background movie, not the Realtime graphics, but can you upload an actual gameplay video?

I'm pretty sure that's just a video playing in the Far Cry menus. A vid with some gameplay would be much more useful.

From reading around, I found that this is only for a slect few sent to Japan, and these were recalled and replaced.

I spoke with ASUS this morning, they said its alright to do so. I'll get working on a video and link it to this one. Thanks for clarifying!
