Thank you for sharing your heart....and helping us feel from the depths of our hearts...God has THE BEST plan for us, doesn't He? Who would have thought your life would be SO blessed?!!!!
Wow, thanks for posting. I have autism and it's given me some cool musical abilities. Nobody really understands us autistic people. There are things I've done that nobody else would really want to do. For example, I only listen to game music, instead of real music.
We planned on Italy when we started our adoption journey but God saw fit to send us to Holland and gave us a beautiful blind daughter. I love Holland and hope to come again and again with our next adoptions but this time, we know to plan for Holland!!
I absolutely love the "Welcome To Holland" story...and I cry every time. I,too, have a beautiful daughter named Niki with special needs. I wanted my 2nd child to be "perfect" just like my 1st one. But then there were complications and we were told she would not live through the weekend...well,here it is 13 years later and she is still here and doing just fine. I wouldn't trade Holland for Italy for anything!!!!
your amazing!!I love my trip to holland, I would change it for any thing, it has made me a better human, it has tought me to love, to be generous, and to share more and that the magic in life is in giving, til it hurts!! for my angel!!
I know this is an older video, but oh how awesome! I have a special needs family member (now 17) and hear you when you say, learn the laws. You are a great family and I will be watching all you videos!
Thank you :) we have so much more to do and I can see that even when they are 17 its going to be still a while new experience LOL. Ryan thinks he is an adult now *grin*
your son is so adorable, I am 26 I have Mild spastic diplegia he has such a hard road ahead. he is going to need his mother. my jurney with cerebral palsy would have been imposable without my mom on those days that are really hard.
thank you for posting this. i have brother who has special needs and so i understand your point. this was beautifully done. your children are blessed to have you as a loving, caring mother. may God bless you and your beautiful family. :)
That was such a touching but positive video.Thank you for taking the time to make it and let us share. I know a little of what you have to cope with on a daily basis. You are truly inspirational. Jayne x
His giggles are infectious and when he pats my hand, I am comforted. I also keep the prose "Welcome to Holland". It describes it perfectly. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing these precious children with us! And your attitudes most of all. I have a seven year old grandson - he doesn't speak, doesn't walk, takes all his food from tube but he is the light of my world.
Thanks VK for watching...I commented but have no idea where it went! :( I must have said something profound..hahahaha! Good grief. Thanks for being so wonderful...
When I was in high school I worked with little kids who had a greater degree of needs than my kiddos do. I also worked for a program within the college I attended where I would read assigments for blind students or help with home stuff for students who used wheelchairs. I thought the same thing. Its always different when its your child. :) You would do more than you think you could or want to LOL. Thanks for your kind words. They mean alot.
I know I would do anything for my own children, but you still have to be some sort of super hero just to raise regular healthy kids. Not that I didn't have my own special needs! ; ) But seriously, those kids need love and care more than anyone, and most folks just can't handle it. (ie: me) So not to get all sappy, , but you did go up a few notches with this info, so I bless you with the bubbles of 10,000 freshly opened mountain dews, and may all your mornings be filled with sleep and pastries.
Thanks Mol! The kids have been through a lot medically so we have tried to do lots of different things with the kids like baseball, soccer and now karate so they are not so "bored" as Ryan says. I just hope someone can see this video and either relate to it or understand what some families are like.
Wow, this was an unexpected entry... illustrating an ability that isn't easy to show on YouTube. With your Holland/Italy comparison you've pulled it off beautifully. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. (=
Wow, this was an unexpected entry exhibiting a skill that is very difficult to catch on YouTube video. I think you did it wonderfully. Thank you for sharing your story and experiences with us.

My girlfriend works with special needs kids, and I don't think I could do it. It takes a lot of strength. Like raising kids isn't hard enough.
For those about to rock, (that means you Ilvsockmonkeys) we salute you!
