Thanks for the comments everyone. I notice a lot of comments asking about what I'm spraying. I'm just spraying water from a misting bottle. It helps extend the drying time in the paint, and can help reactivate "slightly dried" acrylic paint to help blending. You have to use minimal amounts of water though because too much will make the paint run, or come off the canvas.

I was like "No, don't ruin the pretty cloud with that ugly dark grey!" but he didn't, grey was the thing that turned the painting from pretty to gorgeous! Thank you so much

@RocketKitty100 Probably water. To help blend the colors smoothly. I know when I paint dunking the brush into water isn't always nice it can be too watery, but with the spray bottle it offers the same amount every time and not too much.

never knew clouds took so much detail, I always made mine with a circle with lumps on it. And BAM.

Tim, when you paint trees, the bottom leaves are always insanely defined. Do you actually paint them as leaves, or do you use the stippling method with less paint?

Well, yes I suppose, additionally to the fact that I probably used to use wrong water colors which weren`t so.. proffesional and the paper was regular aswell so it just made it wet and the colors were not showing as greatly.

@HatsuneMiku100 They are acrylics by the way. Personally, i find that they are easier than watercolours. Maybe try watercolour pencils first and try paints later?

I seem to get along better with just a pencil, pencil shading and so. Every picture will look better with colors.. so.. I will try to find watercolor pencils as soon as I have time. ^^

I think he sprayed hairspray.. okay, so maybe it wasnt exactly hairspray, but its very similar.

It just holds the paint together. Im an artist myself, and I can say hairspray does the trick for me.

I was just doing an acrylics yesterday. Can I ask two questions?

1- What color did you put in clue to create that greyish sky color? green and grey?

2- Sometimes when I paint on top of some paint that is still wet, and I basically brush it away and the base color will show up. What can I do to avoid it?
