I guess cartoon art doesn't get too far against manga art.

@SnapperBoy648 In most cases, you're correct. It's not because I'm biased towards Manga, but simply because Cartoons are usually more simplistic. It's not the artists fault, it's just the style that cartoons are generally in. I always accept Cartoons though, since they are very closely related to Manga/Anime.

@sylvieslife2011 There aren't any themes. If you make it to the next round, I would rather you draw something new, but if time becomes an issue and it won't happen, I'll allow a drawing you have done previously.

First of all, I'm really pumped to enter this contest, but i've got a question about it first.

is it allowed to use graphics design to improve the drawing(via photoshop, indesign etc.)? nothing too major, just a few tweaks to spice it up a little.(Traditional or Digital; haven't decided yet)

Btw. I don't know if you remember me, but i've been in almost every contest you've done so far (i think?) but never quite made it to the top. Aiming to change that this time ;)

@4ische Yes, I remember you quite well :D. Yes, visual improvements can be made in Photoshop, (ex. increasing brightness and what not). The original judging will still be done based on things like proportion, lines, shading, originality/creativity, etc. It won't be judged solely on "it looks nice" so I don't mind visual improvements in PS.

1 - if we enter something are we allowed to delete the entry for a new one before the deadline?

2- by no Yuri does that mean we cant show two girls kissing? or just no groping?

5-Yes, the rounds will be "open" in the sense you pick what you want to draw. I also dislike theme based rounds.

@kool1899 i guess not. but tbh even if you did that i don't think it'd be enough to get through to the next round. being able to copy someone elses style perfectly may look good at first but unless you use it in dfferent poses etc, like blackstorm on dA then it's impressive. also if you completely copied something, then it's no better than tracing and doesn't show your artistic ability, instead it is just like tite kubo or kishimoto unofficially entering

@kursemarkpower13 somehow get your pic onto your computer, put it into windows movie maker. upload to youtube. then above where it says 'post comment' if you click on that, to the right a 'video response' option comes up. click that and select your video and it'll appear underneath this video :)
