  • This loco was never designed to pull away on a hill. It has 6 ft 8½ drive wheels. It was an express loco. It was a bit of a risk to take to stop at Wittersham Rd. I was on the platform and later on I spoke to the older guy, who I assume Is the engineer and they said there was a possible leak In the vacuum brake which I thought I heard. You can hear It In this video

  • Nice video, I can see myself leaning out one of the windows in the last coach! Must of been something on the rails which made it hard to pull away or something.
