  • why in dracula's curse alucard is old and in symphony of the night he's young (and linkes a girl)? xD

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros O.o Alucard is anything but old in Castlevania 3 if anything he's just learning of his powers.

  • @spike007980 anything but old? c'mon, just look him in the artwork, i thought he was dracula!

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros Thats the fun part! We were tricked good sir! You need to buff up a little bit on some horror movies.

  • @spike007980 whatever...

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros Lolz awh :3

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros Alucard young? Uh he's over 300 years old how the hell is that young? Also a final thing what the hell is "linkes a girl" don't you mean looks like a girl?

  • @ChaoticDarkShadow Yes, that i wanted to say. I haven't got a very good English level (i'm Spanish)

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros You do better than most people I see at school.

  • @iamthepkmmaster Thanks a lot(?)

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros Symphony takes place about 300-400 years after

  • @MythicRayn and why i can play with richter at symphony? isn't he the son of simon?

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros grandson

  • @iamthepkmmaster anyway, it's contradictory if realy symphony of the night it's after dracula's curse

  • @Super0Andreu0Bros Symphony takes place 400ish years after the first one i believe. Simon is the son of leon. I don't think we actually know who the father of richter is but he isn't the son of simon, that's for sure.

  • @MythicRayn what's about sonia belmont?

  • THE ABSOLUTE BEST VERSION EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has that "extra" synth to it!

  • If I ever go adventuring, this will be my background music.

  • The japanese version of Deja VU sounds like a modified version of the Castlevania 1 one.

  • I have to say, this just might beat out Super Castlevania IV for the best version of Vampire Killer.

  • GOD THIS IS FUCKING EPIC

  • imo best version of vampire killer ever

  • remember when this had to mean something while playing and whipping the shit out of everyone? Vampire Killer means shit now :(

  • In my opinion THE best rendition of Vampire Killer!

  • @mootbooxle in your opinion... mine says that the SCV4 vampire killer is better BUT hey

its only my opinion, it doesn't affect yours so don't worry, just leaving a message here...

  • @roman6a Hmmm...it's been a while since I've heard that one actually. I could have been a little hasty in making that assertion...I can say this, It's DEFINITELY the best 8-bit Vampire Killer, how's that? :)

  • @OgnarPliskin *climbs stairs*

  • @ChaoticDarkShadow *gets knocked off the stairs by a Medusa Head*

  • damn.... the Japanese castlevania versions just are wayyy better sounding than the American ones I have played. We shouldve gotten this qaulity sound instead of the crappy nes American version music.

  • @mechaart I don't know the exact details, but the Famicom had access to a better sound chip than the localized NES systems, and this game took advantage of that chip. So the sound developers had to downsize the music to fit the restrictions when porting to other regions.

  • @CobaltBW Actually, the enhanced soundchip was located in the cartridge, but Western NES systems didn't have the necessary pins in the cartridge slot to use it.

  • @ThunderPX

Yup! The Famicom has the same audio as the NES (2A03), asides from the ability to support audio expansion (due to the change in pins as you said). The Super Game Boy for the SNES makes for a good comparison. The SNES cannot produce Game Boy audio, so what you hear when you use the Super Game Boy is audio produced from inside the cartridge, simply routed "through" the SNES. Sound expansion games for the Famicom use the same basic principle. In case anyone was wondering. :)

  • @explod2A03 so pretty much if i get the Famicom to NES converter out of my copy of gyromite and play Akumajou densetsu 3, would it have the audio expansion? :D

  • @Saiyuki2o4

Unfortunately, because of the pin layout and how the NES was made, it won't work. The NES can be modified (open it up and solder a resister to 2 specific pins) so that audio expansion works with roms via the powerpak. But it still won't work with the original cart and gyromite adaptor. :(

  • @explod2A03 i see. what pins do i solder the resister to? powerpak? :P

  • @ThunderPX Wikipedia says they were still there, but were relocated to the expansion slot at the bottom of the system chassis. If that's true, I wonder if Konami could've released an (awkward) bottom expansion device to use the extra sound channels, much in the same way the MSX Konami games had.

  • @mechaart you're trippin...

  • So far, I love this version of Castlevania III's OST, but I don't like this version of Vampire Killer in particular.

  • @Aceclade It's really all about the square. Wow. So much more depth.

  • Best music of C III

  • @ramzadel I don't entirely agree with you, but DAMN, it's up there (Stream, Riddle, and Overture beat it, however, in my book)
