Yeah, it's not breaking the sound barrier. It just develops that cone at certain speeds and in certain weather conditions.

The cone occurs at what is known as the Transonic speed. It is when the nose is through the sound barrier but the tail has not passed.
There is no boom because a whole was periced through but not fully opened/closed.

gee julian123sequence idk, maybe if we look at the distance the jet covered in from one cloud to another, we could then tell how fast it was going from the video. oh i forgot WE CANT!! nothing personal btw
