Rick Perlstein's "Nixonland" is the best book I've read on Nixon's harnessing of Americans' anxieties and resentments. Ironic that a guy who lost in '60 (iin part) because he looked horrible on TV next to Kennedy would come back in '68 with the help of Roger Ailes--who went on to eventually create FoxNews.

Nixon was a liar and a war criminal. He claimed he had a secret plan to get out of Vietnam when he was looking for means to continue its escalation. In the Nixon tapes, this terrorist said he didn't "give a damn" about civilians dying.

Nixon was the phoniest Republican ever. He campaigns on the failures of Liberals. But as soon as he enters office, he's farther to the left than Johnson. Nixon was the biggest RiNO Republican to ever occupy the White House. Gerald Ford wasn't much better either though. Before Ronald Reagan, the last true conservative Republican President was Calvin Coolidge.

@xIegionx According to declassified records JFK already sign a executive order to pull out of Vietnam. When JFK was shot Johnson revoked the executive order to pull out of Vietnam. How about where LBJ lied to America and said we were attacked by North vietnam but it turns out 3 decades later it was a radar glitch. Nixon was the most liberal republican president ever. The EPA surely failed and it killed jobs. Johnson was the president in 1968. America no longer makes anything go and thank Nixon.

@v19d You still don't acknowledge Kennedy took the US into Vietnam in the first place, and from the video he was NOT going to leave. He was going to do what LBJ did. It was inevitable unless he didn't go into nam but he did. Nixon took the US out of Nam and forced the North vietnamese to a peace treaty. He ended the draft and made relations around the World. You really think the Nation at the time cared about Jobs or or the EPA? No, they were protesting NAM.

@xIegionx You see the reason I dislike Nixon is because his policies had long term effects that weren't good like outsourcing began during Nixon. Additional costs to own a factory went up further to comply with the stupid EPA. Well those protestors surely made a mistake and should had protested against the EPA in heavy numbers. When Nixon left office the manufacturing started to distrust Nixon because of the EPA. I would love to see the EPA abolished and gone. But no we have all those leftist

LBJ at many times wanted the EPA for his stupid birds.Maybe the Country should had cared about Jobs too at that time too and should had looked if the EPA would been of better to not put into place.

@xIegionx What I was also going to say about Nixon and the EPA was that because of the creation of the EPA we don't make Televisions and Steel. I believe the link to the video proves he was killed in a conspiracy over Vietnam not over Cuba. Plus he was killed because LBJ was about to be investigated for murder of some people in Texas and JFK would of dropped Johnson from the ticket.

I'd like to comment on the title of your video. You entitled it as Nixon on Liberal Failures in Leadership. But I don't hear Nixon making references to the liberals at all in this ad. And besides the liberals are not to blame for the problems in America at that time.

The criticism of liberalism is implicit. The liberal President Johnson was responsible for the escalation in Vietnam, which in turn contributed to the cultural strife that rent America in the 60s. Too bad Tricky Dick didn't do any better during his time in office.
