My dad was working a couple of stages over on The Wheel of Foutune. I wasn't 18 yet so there was no way they would have let me on the set anyway but, I was so close to meeting you. I wonder if Julian Lennon and Sean Ono Lenon have a brotherly relationship. I have always wondered if they spend time together or if they were distant.
From what I understand, they are distant in miles (Sean-US)(Julian-Europe), but see each other when they can. Julian joined Sean on tour in Europe for a while last year.
Everybody (especially fans) should know both Julian and Sean are sons of John Lennon. They sing like their father. Please people, read more about them.
I'm pretty sure they love one another & are at least on good terms, based on what I read from Julian on his site. Two pretty neat men. Julian could be bitter, but he's not. He's better. :)

If you've never seen this, you got it right. This is what Jules says about it. I got this from HeyJules-com:

He's not singing against Mother Mary, either. The character he's singing about is just saying, if I mess up, will I be rejected by Mother Mary or will she still stand by me? Which is what julianisaakfan said. The Christian belief is that God loves everyone unconditionally. So the answer to that would be, yes, God, or Mary in this case, would stick by him, even if he messed up. Unfortunately, people don't always show such unconditional love, which is very sad. :,( Everyone makes mistakes.

It is a song from the heart, a song that makes you think. much of the music now days does not have the power to make you think its just pretty dressing on the surface.
I think this has less to do with how spiritual or not Julian is, and more about the condition of the human heart and feeling based on what one has learned.
But yes we are taught Mary the mother of our Lord loves all humanity as does God.
Talent has nothing to do with God, even for those who believe? Boy, there are a lot of stars out there, who say thanks for their God given talent at the end of each show or when they have received an award, who are really confused!
But scripture teaches that salvation is by God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone.
Did Mr. Lennon personally confess with his mouth and believe in his heart that Jesus is Lord? Did he profess this faith in Christ alone? If he did, then he will rejoice to see His Savior--if he did not, Jesus will be His Judge alone.
I'm a Christian & I've lost where you're going with this. 1st of all, John actually didn't have a problem with Jesus, he had a problem with the hypocrisy in the churches. Got to agree with him there. I wish I didn't have to. "Those without sin cast the first stone." Remember that? That whole thing about the Beatles being bigger than Jesus was taken out of context, BTW. As for Jules, he believes in God & the power of prayer. You'd be surprised. He's a good guy. :) So stop being so judgmental.

Which is what julianisaakfan said. The Christian belief is that God loves everyone unconditionally. So the answer to that would be, yes, God, or Mary in this case, would stick by him, even if he messed up. Unfortunately, people don't always show such unconditional love, which is very sad. :,( Everyone makes mistakes.

It is a song from the heart, a song that makes you think. much of the music now days does not have the power to make you think its just pretty dressing on the surface.
I think this has less to do with how spiritual or not Julian is, and more about the condition of the human heart and feeling based on what one has learned.
But yes we are taught Mary the mother of our Lord loves all humanity as does God.

I'm a Christian & I've lost where you're going with this. 1st of all, John actually didn't have a problem with Jesus, he had a problem with the hypocrisy in the churches. Got to agree with him there. I wish I didn't have to. "Those without sin cast the first stone." Remember that? That whole thing about the Beatles being bigger than Jesus was taken out of context, BTW. As for Jules, he believes in God & the power of prayer. You'd be surprised. He's a good guy. :) So stop being so judgmental.

It is true that Jesus died on the cross as the second Adam, and God raised Him from the dead so that there is now forgiveness of sins and eternal life by God's grace--forever. But its for those who will--and have--put their faith in Christ alone (Read I Corinthians 15; Romans 4).

The album came out in 1989, so I am guessing 1989 or 1990. I think this TV appearance was in 1990.

Thank you for posting this! I saw it when it first aired on television. Julian apologized for his vocal performance and I remember thinking...no apology needed as he and his band were brilliant!
