@QHenryZ Emperor scorpions usually can be tamed pretty well and are not likely to sting unless you really bother them or squeeze them. Even if they do sting, it is not really dangerous. About like a bee sting.

@TheIluvatar69 your right, usually you will not see any white on a perfect emp. but things like bad humidity in its environment can lead to bad molting which makes it armor not develop like it should thus leading to white space! if it has good humidity and there is still white space then its either pregnant or over fed..

I held one of these guys once at a zoo. I was freaking out the whole time. Luckily, I was assured that the larger the scorpion, the less likely it is to sting you. And more often than not, it's likely a scorpion would prefer to simply run away from something much larger than sting.

@gameaddicted52 Scorpions with big claws rarely use their venomous stinger, since they can just crush their pray with their claws. Scorpions with small, weaker claws on the other hand uses thier stinger the whole time, which makes them alot more dangerous. Scorpions with big claws are actually quite "friendly" and harmless as long as you dont trample them.

Your scorpion has a lot of space between the plates in its armor, was it pregnant at the time or something? Mine has been growing really really quickly and has been hitting larger sizes and his plates are separating too but he hasn't gotten anywhere near as fat as yours. He is always hungry though. Poor little guy can't seem to catch anything without a little help, have to stick the crickets in the freezer for a few minutes to fuck them up so he can catch them lol.
