  • I like him. He's... mysterious.

  • @akek23 I agree. he's definitely underrated, but he probably prefers that.Sure he's not making Cruise/Pitt/Dicaprio money, but he also doesn't have paparazzi watching his every move or is in tabloids every week. And he still gets a lot of work, whether it's supporting roles in big studio films,. or lead(& supporting)roles in smaller and independent films.

  • I love him.

  • I like him. I just do.

  • he's so fluent, reminds me of John Malkov when he talks. i love him!

  • Whose John Lauhter?

  • the great thing about peter is hes a very consistent actor in every role he seeks out as well as having that infamous advantageous 1000 yard stare that could either intimidate n scare the shit out of you or be used for great comedic stres, example the confrontation scnene in shattered glass at the end is aweome peter just as he was terrific in garden state. he used the stare in both

  • "It's not like my teeth was my job or anything" :D

  • He made "Shattered Glass" a better film than it was.

  • @GiantsSB2010 he did! that's when i first took notice of him.

  • he's cool

  • His voice is seriously hypnotic

  • For the name thing, a lot of people complaining

actually if you go to imdb

  • It's a freaking insult to spell such an actors name wrong.... BTW Peter is amazing!!!!!!

  • Peter Sarsgaard

  • this has been up for 6 months - the name should be corrected!

  • I KNEW his name is w a 'k'!

  • there is no K in his name. Peter Sarsgaard

  • I noticed the misspelled name immediately. He's one of my favorite actors. He's brilliant.

  • He did play his son didn't he?

  • SPELL HIS NAME RIGHT

  • @lchcfan hahahaha when i first saw it i was like omg ive been spelling and pronouncing it wrong this whole time i must have come off like a jerk, but yeh its sarsgaard right?

  • he reminds me of john malkovich

  • I know they should totally have had him play John Malkovich's son in Man in the Iron Mask!!!

  • he did

  • yeah ! It's his voice i reckon.

  • Hello, New York Times... It's Peter SARSGAARD, not SCARSGAARD!!!

  • lovely..

  • one of the best actors ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like this interview. I love this series the Times is doing, but Peter's name is SARSGAARD, not SCARSGAARD.

  • @normanthepig His name is Scarsgård.

  • his last name is sarsgaard

  • he speaks just like john malkovich, perfect casting in the three musketeers as his son

  • Way to butcher his name -- that's something I'd expect from the Post.

  • such an interesting man. you just watch and listen in awe when he speaks.

  • I'm so glad other people see this in him! I remember seeing him in Shattered Glass and not knowing who he was and I was blown away! And his character in Garden State.. OH MAN soooo good. One of my favorite actors ever.

  • How about Flightplan or Jarhead?

  • I havent seen Flightplan yet, but yes, he is amazing in Jarhead!

  • Brilliant. Great actor and a really interesting person.

  • It's kind of depressing that you spelled his last name wrong, but I love him!

  • sarsgaard*

  • god

  • peter is absolutely brilliant in every role he has played; really underrated guy... he's probably the best actor of "his generation"...

  • Interesting, I think he sounds like John Malkovich, who played Sarsgaards father in "The Man In The Iron Mask"! Well, this is kind of weird-great.

  • I know, people keep comparing him to Malkovich, and they're right, there certainly is a resemblance.

Peter's just to talented! And I love watching his interviews, cause even though sometimes he's goofy, he has some pretty cool comments and insights as well.

  • i am extremely fond of him. i like watching him speak.

  • I actually thought this was a really nice, honest, and intriguing interview.
