Janet cannot sell anywhere period. She comes nowhere close to the stadiums Madonna packs around the entire world. Look at the 2008 Rock With U Tour. Tickets were a disaster. Madonna in 2008-2009 achieved the record of having the highest grossing solo tour ever and performed to 3.5 million people.

Janet and Madonna are both legends don't think it is fair to compare either.... Seen both in concert and know that no other performers have their stage presensance. Janet does have a worldwide fan base and they have both influenced many people. You can see that in todays music. If it came down to it then Janet has influenced alot more current artists in dance moves but Madonna has always marketed her concepts well and sold more. Janet in my opinion is more talented but i like them both.

Some of those venues have a capacity of around 6,000 seats that she played in multiple nights that she sold out in minutes. 6,000 seats X 3 nights= 18,000 seats.
