I want to do this in 2013 and am wondering can you get on and off the train as much as you like for as long as you like or is it only short stops? Thanks for making the video, great job and the dancing was a nice touch lol.
@78jesse78 Thanks! You have to buy every single ticket specifying from and to, so you choose how often you want to stop, where you want to stop and for how long. There's no such thing as a transsiberian railway ticket, the travelling between to stops are separate journeys. Look at: realrussia.co.uk/trains/transsib/index.php?ts&jType=ts&refp=0. Good luck! :)
@kristinebettum Thanks for the reply that was very helpful!! What did a trip like that cost? I am thinking it would be a few thousand US dollars but not sure.
@78jesse78 I don't really remember, just that it was worth every penny! I think the tickets altogether from Moscow to Beijing on 2nd class were around 1200 dollars, but including plane tickets, hostels and food, I think you might be right about the few thousand dollars.
Yeah, we bought them all in once, but that's mainly because we couldn't risk being stuck in a place for days due to our time constraint. There might be difficulties trying to get tickets on certain distances during the high season..

@91Holdem Depends on your choice of comfort, what time of the year you are going, and who you buy your tickets from. But I reckon no more than 550 pounds at the most. So good luck with that!
