just displaces so many, many people & can marginalise them more & more until they're the sort who are scorned on the street corner (like U mentioned in another vid) by those who were fortunate enough to be born with the mental capacities for mental work.
So....nature has WONDERFUL abilities to self-regulate. I think the energy crisis will restabilise a lot of what's inherently wrong in our society.
And yes, I think you're bang on, that Cuba, little old Cuba, was fortunate to be embargoed!!

With all this automation in the 'developed' world, not only considering the environmental wastefulness of it...what's to become of all the Navvies in society who just can't or won't work on computers, tech & science all day??
Again going back to more traditional methods for farming & possibly industrial rebalances society. I may be talking through my hole here, but the thought always struck me that not eveyone can or should be in some kind of office job, & that all this automation
It all means much more employment, cheaper cost of living & environmentally much friendlier. Of the total emissions due to the existence of an 'average' car, I think something like 33% of that total is given off in the vehicle's manufacturing. Then there's another oh, 20% (?) given off again in its recycling/disposal.
So, driving a modern era car into the ground makes absolute sense (regular oil changes of course etc.), and scrappage 4 a new car is just crazy.
Hi, I'm from Ireland and I love your points & overall philosophies.
My Dad has more time than I to read newspapers & he's been saying for so long about how well educated the Cubans are too. They've supposedly got an extremely good education system & more doctors per head of population than (most?) "developed" countries etc. Michael Moore touched on this too in one of his vids.
My Dad also said those Cubans who are driving are typically driving 50's & 60's cars, fixing them all the time &
Who wouldn't want to ride a bike in Cuba...I mean its the tropics. I think bike riding in the mid west in the middle of winter would suck. Good video though.

I think Peak Oil is for real. Thanks for the info on Cuba.
We need to stop putting economics ahead of what is good for us and the planet.
