Yes we do so, and your friend obviously does not have the spirit of a true cosplayer then! Its a hobby, not a profession! Hobbies are supposed to be fun - it's just the same as playing an instrument. I enjoy pulling out my Sax sometimes and just playing because I enjoy it, so its fun for me.

If other people think having fun with a hobby is weird, that is their opinion and that's fine. However my own opinion toward them is that they need to lighten up...and seriously have fun.
