Haha that's some nice spaghetti you got going on in there :) nah but in all seriousness nice rig haha. I'd rather see people spending money to buy a prebuilt machine that actually has quality parts in it than to get ripped off by Dell/Apple/HP. If they had my rig and case for cheaper than what I built it for, there would've been a good chance that I would've just bought it off of them so I wouldn't have to deal with it but then again building it is part of the fun haha.
This is the system im currently considering on getting and its around $1200 for Starcraft 2 and arma 2 arrow head -
IBuyPower-AMD Phenom™ II X4 970 Black Edition Quad-Core CPU, Liquid CPU Cooling System, 4GB DDR3-1600 Memory, ATI Radeon HD 5770 - 1GB-CrossFire Mode, ASUS M4A87TD EVO MOBO, 750 Watt Thermaltake, 640 GB SATA HARD DRIVE 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s,LG BLU-RAY Reader, DVD±R/±RW, Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 sound is the stock onboard so is the LAN
@NitroExplosion88 SC2 no problem...but Arma 2's performance will prob be determined by what resolution you are running at. I personally would get a better GPU if that rig is for gaming.
Dude, I got an iBUYPOWER pc for christmas too, and trust me, the deals that they give are better than building yourself. Maybe its a better idea to build your own at any other time, but they gave me a MONSTER deal on my pc.
@Firaje Awesome for you! Grats on the new toy. It's been over a year now and I am still totally happy with my mine. I'm running Eyefinity in a 3840 x 1024 res and I smash everything out there still.
You can build your own comp for alot less money and i know not everyone knows how but to me its the great feeling when you have just built it and turned it on to see everything is working.
@Ev0lutionGamingYT Sure...that's why I have a kickass PC for cheaper than anyone could build it or buy it....yeah that's bad....lawls....you the funny dude.
@phuckthis343 You make no sense, if it's cheaper to buy it from ibuy than it is to DIY then why DIY in the first place? you are a walking contridiction.
Also why get your car already built, when you can build it yourself? what about your house? why not build it yourself? isn't it cheaper than to do it yourself?
@Bullonieful You asked why didn't I just build my own? And the answer is because I bought this for about $250 LESS than what it would cost you to DIY, also I have a nice warranty on everything.
@Bullonieful That's correct but IBPs warranty is much better in this case with 1 yr parts, 3 yrs of labor and lifetime of tech support. Also as mentioned the cash that was saved made this option a no-brainer.
@Bullonieful Not everyone knows how to build it theirself, why don't you people kill that "build it yourself line" it's old.
@retsamkcub was there any missing peaces or non-propperly working components or parts or any packaging misshaps with you rig from newegg? because i've been reading some old reviews on how they've were not as good as alienware in those departments.
@makeme708 Not at all actually. I did wish that some accessories were included but it is a OEM product, so you get what you pay for. I am still very happy. I have an Eyefinity setup and gaming is more fun now than it's ever been before. Currently I play Bad Company 2, Mafia 2, Dirt 2, L4D 2, TF2, LOTRO, Starcraft 2, Vindictus and MLB2K10.
@makeme708 Not hard to teach yourself how to build a computer. You should look into it. I'm not trying to flame or anything. I'm just saying you'd save a lot of money building it yourself, and it's not that hard to do.
@makeme708 Not hard to teach yourself how to build a computer. You should look into it. I'm not trying to flame or anything. I'm just saying you'd save a lot of money building it yourself, and it's not that hard to do. It's honestly harder to pick out the parts than it is to put it together.
@KamikazeProd Every part usually comes with its own wiring. Most of the wiring is just wires coming from the power supply, which you will buy yourself. I've bought bare hard drives before, though, which didn't come with a SATA cable, so I had to go out and buy one separately. Not that big of a deal, but it can be annoying. If you don't want to worry about that, though, just make sure you're buying a hard drive in its original packaging.
@00firebird I got the free one...AVC is the manufacturer. It keeps things real cool...my idle temp is under 30c and load at around 50c. It is a little loud. I replaced the shotty fan that came with it and that helped a lot, but still you can hear some noise from the pump. But overall...after the fan change, it's very good.
I have a question does iBuyPower send you the PC put together or do they send it to you in parts and you have to assemble it and do cable management on your own?
I also have an ibuypower. If you plan on getting one pay for the pro wiring, mine looks bad too but when u do pay the few extra bucks for it they make it look amazing. everything else with ibuypower is great.
@TheLightningII I disagree. I have seen their "pro wiring". Most likely you will still be rewiring it yourself. Do some research on their forums, you will notice they don't even use the case's built in cable management. Save yourself the money and DIY, it's easy and fun.
@retsamkcub well it's too late to be researching now since i already own the system and have had it since December 2009 just like you. I really do need to redo the wiring, it's probably holding back my thermals. my temps are great as it is because i have a coolermaster HAF 922, but rewiring should make it a bit better.
@TheLightningII I realize you have your system but as you were saying for someone planing to get a IBUYPOWER system they should get pro wiring...and on that I disagree for the reason all ready stated.
Biggest problem with IbuyPower systems is the delivery as shipping can cause damages such as loose hardware in the case. Just be sure to check that all hardware is securely fastened and plugged in before running ur system. I bought mine from Newegg asit was a cheaper build than getting it direct from Ibuypwoer and Newegg is mroe trustworthy as I have dealt with them before and havent with Ibuypower. Ohter than that, I love my Ibuypower system. Had for 2 years.
@Shermstyle23 correct. I checked and reseated most of my hardware before I even powered it up. No problems. My system is 4 months old now. Still running great and still was cheaper than if I bought or built it today.
im getting this exact case but i want to put the sentry lx fan controller with 2 cd/dvd bays for a total of 4 bats being used up. will the 4th bay cover up or replace the blue led fan? if so i wont bother with using 4 bays, instead maybe just 3.
wow did u pay for pro wireing? cuz if u did im totaly not paying for it if thats how it looks. also did u pay for the safe shiping thing? cuz if thats all they put in ur pc to keep it safe for $19 dollers ill just pass. lol.
btw hella nice rig, hope mine will come all in one piece.
I did not pay for either...I rewired it myself(check my other video) and I received the extra packaging option for free. It may not look like much but if you are getting a big graphics card, it's nice to have. Those PCI slots aren't that tough.
