nice dp tribute band do they do kids parties ha ha seriously they suck without the madness of blackmore hed be jumping in the crowd attacking people with a strat lol
@shredmaster100, if the truth be told, during the last half of his on-again, off-again tenure with DP, Blackmore seldom had more than disdain for the audience. Steve Morse has been in the band no longer than Blackmore ever was.
thats the reason he left dp because he didnt like the music he was playing it got a bit too spinal tap for him morse is a good player but blackmore was the original and best just a shame he dont like rock music anymore
You gotta check out "She's Mine" recorded by the Liverpool Five in 1965 to hear the same bass riff used here. It's on Yu Tube and of course it was even BEFORE the Blues Magoos " You Aint Seen Nothing Yet".However this DP version is still fabulous .
I wanna hear this every morning arround 8 am , My dad loves deep purple, i love them as much as he does , even if i dont have so many memories on their songs :))
my god 11 years!!!! i remember taping it nearly 40 years ago . i still have single (u know the little black round thing, vinyl i believe its called) LOL .
I remember taping this back in the day (can't believe it's 11 years ago now). Still have it on VHS gathering dust somewhere, I'll need to get it transferred to DVD. Yeah I saw them at the Glasgow Clyde Auditorium about 3 days after this appearance, great gig. Cheers for Posting.
OOOOOHHHH....Steve Morse´s era...sucks ...............BANANAS , A BAND On , RAPTURES ......all sucks .....even the COME TASTE THE BAND album kicks the ass of all of those albums
I'm glad you have wasted a couple of hours listening to the Morse era albums. Makes me feel good that there exsist such as stupid Blackmore fanatic. :)
cover did deicede is good but is same done all bands of death metal never overcome the original , actually this version is like when get married my friends
I love 'Purpendicular', one of the best 1984---> albums they ever did. I was dissapointed with 'Abandon' though, but they picked up again with the great 'Bananas' and 'Rapture Of The Deep'. First DP tour I saw was the AbandOn Tour. It was great. Steve Morse put Deep Purple back into life. Ritchie, great as he is, but sadly his performances after the 'Perfect Strangers' tour were weak. He seemed bored unfortunatly, which resulted in him putting little effort into a lot of the songs performed.
Totally agree with what you say. Yeah Purpendicular was a great effort, really refreshing and quite diverse. I wanted to like Abandon, it certainly rocked hard but most of the songs sounded a tad lacklustre with no real focus etc. Bananas was a great surprise again, Gillan especially sounded as if he'd had a second wind on vocals, really good performance. Rapture was quite good although a couple of the songs sounded a bit tired in my opinion.
I agree. Purpendicular is a masterpiece, Abandon is ALMOST as good. The two subsequent albums, with Jon Lord's departure, they took a serious nosedive. And there is no bigger a DP fan in this world than myself. If Paicey were to be replaced, then that would surely put the final nail in the band's coffin.

Yeah I will have to agree with you, Purpendicular was a great return for them, shame about Abandon. The others are good albums too.
I saw them on both of these tours for the albums, but haven't seen them live since.

Gillan still looks great despite his age. He stopped dying his har a few years after this.

Love Gillan's style here. This is 1997/98?

Yeah it is '98, I put all the info over to the right of the video about when and were etc.

in my opionion this was their best period after PERFECT STRANGERS !!!
ABANDON is still one of my favourite cds to date.

On the evening of this broadcast I went to see them in Birmingham.
I preferred their Purpendicular album to Abandon. (But still a good ablum.)
