Tager is only Bottom 3 if your on pro level and can lock him down completely and take full advantage of his huge hitbox. Imo if your beginner to intermediate or anywhere in between that and pro tager is much higher
I play noel and I can't beat tager for the life of me. I don't even try. It sucks when someone's card says not tager then they drop a tager on me and I'm like "aww"

BlazBlue is about using the opponents misstakes against them to punish them for making a misstake. If it means getting thrown by Tager or bashed by Jin makes no difference.
All characters have practicable combos that do damage. If you find that being pathetic then I do not understand why you are playing BB even.

I'm guessing the Tager player didn't know that Sledgehammer negates projectiles, as well as Noel's drives. I'm pretty sure Tager actually has a slight advantage in this match-up. Of course, considering how balanced BlazBlue is, it mostly comes down to skill. Except Taokaka Vs. Tager.
Man, game companies have really been coming through with great fighting games the last few months, and there's still more games to come! I think its been a great year for the genre as a whole.
Also as a sidenote, that Tager character is hilarious. He has a 'green hand' like Zangief, a piledriver like Gief, a lariat like finish, and an Abel air grab. Not that it doesn't take skill to use him, just sayin' the similarities are pretty amusing.

The GG series created a system where if characters guard too much, their guard breaks and they take extra damage. I'm not sure if it works this way in BlazBlue, but in GG you also lost any energy in your super meter if you went too long without attacking.
Negative Penalty is back in Blazblue, however its effect is that you take 50% more damage while in penalty state, which can stack with the barrier danger penalty which is also 50% more damage. You can end the negative penalty by being more offensive until it ends. There is a guard break gauge located under the timer in red/blue, where if the bar reaches the end, the character is left stunned and unguarded. Hope that helps you guys out.

That only makes sense though. GG had many many games made all with tweaks here and there to balance out the game. This is going to be version one of this game. Also because it's new (see: not even released yet) we really haven't seen which character is better than which, since nobody can really play to find out.
How many people do you think thought Potemkin sucked cause he was slow? Probably quite a few, but constantly playing caused that thought to be put in the shit hole.
Potemkin was always one of the upper tier characters simply because you can't rush him down. You will eat heat knuckles or potekmin busters. Lockdown characters, like Testament or Ky, gave Potemkin a lot of trouble, because he never had much of a way to break the lockdowns.

I actually had the chance to plat this game yesterday it was great, big line to play so I only played once, but it caught my attention and now I cant wait till the game is released for the PS3.

I know somebody who is a serious fighting game fanatic that KoF12 was lot more boring in comparison to BlazBlue after giving them both considerable time in the arcade. He said people are going to get bored of KoF just as fast as everyone got bored of SF4, in the online community at least. Blazblue has a lot more potential.

As far as gamestop goes it says June 30th. If you pre-order off gamestop you'll get an artbook plus all the extra limited edition stuff at no extra cost :D

I know somebody who is a serious fighting game fanatic that KoF12 was lot more boring in comparison to BlazBlue after giving them both considerable time in the arcade. He said people are going to get bored of KoF just as fast as everyone got bored of SF4, in the online community at least. Blazblue has a lot more potential.

Simmer down super nerd. I have always like KoF better than Street Fighter and so has my friend that I was talkin about. He played it and he was disappointed with it. Sorry I cant give u a direct opinion but Im going with his word. He does play in tournaments and shit.

This is a WHOLE new fighting game AND it's being made with HD sprites. Hell SFIV came with 17 fighters in the arcades.

It is made by Arc System Works who are the same team who made Guilty Gear so there is the reason for your similarities in visuals.

for the guy who said this encourages combos......the combos in here just look plain silly, there not as lengthy as a vs game but still they look ridiculous i prefer shorter combos that take a lot of timing and do more damage then this back and forth spam of 5 hit and 6 hit combos seriously it looks and sounds silly!!!

Watch Japanese videos. You will see that the combos take adept timing and are longer than 5 or 6 hits.
