(The last thing that happened was Doc saved Clara from falling off the train that Doc and Marty stole, and Marty returned back to 1985 where the delorean got destroyed and he returned to his family and picked up his girlfriend Jennifer and they looked at the broken pieces of the delorean feeling sad about never seeing Doc again where Doc came back in his time machine train all married very fast with kids).

The Doc, with his ability to travel through time, could go to the moment when Marty came back to the present 1985.

For me, this ending felt sad because the delorean got destroyed which was Doc's latest experiment that he's been waiting for all his life as he mentioned in the first movie, and it was also sad that it felt like he was leaving Marty and Jennifer forever on his new time machine train instead of asking them to come with him. (I also wonder why he invented a time machine train if he didn't like the delorean on this movie).

This is also a guess, maybe he built the train faster with some help back in 1885 with a lot of train engineer's if Doc probably disguised himself as a robber (just like he did with Marty when they stole the earlier train) or put them all to work building a train by pointing a gun at them (just like he did to the earlier train engineer when stealing the train) and then he quickly put time circuits and a fluxcapacitor on the train. (I'm just guessing that this could have happened too).

When I got the Trilogy I had seen this same thing. The kid thinks he's out of shot.

It's actually off putting to watch films this way as stop watching the main actors but the people around them. As the scene involves more people you get to see some weird reactions from extras.

You can imagine the extras becoming real bored after filming a scene for a whole day or, a scene that has to be shot in one single sequence, you catch out all sorts of crap/goings on.
