@coberst01 i believe not sir , Thom's vocal chords have been carefully synthesized by the gods of sound way beyond this universe.... a universe we may never see but thanks to Thom we can at least hear it :D

@coberst01 Thom York is using a microphone called an electrovoice re20. Used by Steve wonder, Bob Dylan, and many jazz female singers ... it's used for its warm, yet clear sound. It's a perfect mic if you have a voice with a high tonality that may annoying on most condensers. The built in pop-filter also lets you "eat the mic" - which is why Thom's recordings often sound like he's lying beside you gently singing into your ear...

I think it complements Thoms voice perfectly.
