I could tell myself I do, but deep inside, I know that ever never seen one, nor is there any scientific evidence of their existence. The notions of choosing to believe is absurd.

@rockman22 Yes one can certainly see it your way. However, if you think it out further it simply can't be that way. You'd have to understand the angelic conflict and why mankind was created to resolve it. Which would take hundreds of pages to explain. But I'll leave you with a short point to consider. If man was created perfect in perfect environment (God is perfect and only creates perfection) and if man chose to leave perfection which is to leave God, then God must honor that choice.

However, there is only one condition that separates man from the love of God and that is man's choice to accept or reject what God has graciously done for man. He took the personal sins of the world upon himself, including yours. He took your relative righteousness and replaces it with the perfect righteousness of Christ when you from the freedom of your choices accept through faith

Christ paid the price (spiritual death for you transgressions) so that you might have eternal life and not eternal condemnation. We are born into condemnation, separation from God. Some will chose to remain separated, others will choose not to. You continue to choose to remain so, to live in denial to the truth. That's your choice, your responsibility

@rockman22 yes that is the whole point to life itself. I can't prove it and you can't prove God doesn't exist. Therefore what each of us believes is a matter of faith. That is all that exists within our minds. Faith, what we have chosen to accept as true. You don't believe in something that you think is false or not true. Do you believe there are or could be other life forms in the vast universe? If so, prove it? You can't. Yet, you won't believe that angels could exist?

@whatdoyouknowkid you have it a little backwards. I am not saying I believe 100% there is no god. I just say, there is no evidence to either confirm or deny it. Therefor, I have a complete lack of faith in either assertion. Until one or the other becomes proven I wont 100% believe in one or the other. Like Richard Dawkins, I am 99% and atheist, because thats what evidence seems to suggest. But as any true scientist will say, we will give the possiblility of god a chance, 1% of doubt.

@rockman22 I can't disagree with you on this. Since I'm not infallible or omniscient I'm 99.9% certain God does exist. Since there is no evidence to either confirm or deny it seems foolish to default to "not to believe" ... the downside offers nothing and the upside for accepting the free gift of salvation is too great. I wish there was a simple, quick and easy way to communicate to you all of the knowledge that would allow you to know what I know. 40 years of information how?

However, since creation does exist, and since people have testify to the existence of Jesus Christ, that he is who he claims, and since you can't prove where creation or mankind came from or how it came into existence. Then it is more plausible than not to conclude that someone created it . I know, then who created God

Look you posses consciousness, self-awareness, therefore, whether you want to believe matter somehow posses self-awareness or not it does exist and God is consciousness (life), you have life. It had to come form somewhere, you think it was from lifeless matter? I think God provides life to matter. Your body will return to lifeless matter.

Respond to this video...Seek and you will find, take one moment in time to say to God that you believe Jesus Christ is your personal savior and that you want to know Him through Christ. That is you moment of eternal salvation. What you do after that is between you and God. But you will be able to work that out in time as well as in eternity. Don't do that in the time that you have been given and you will never have the opportunity to work that out or know God

I don't need anyone to be nailed to anything to live a good life and show kindness and respect to others. The bible is not the source of morality. @rockman22 you do not loose the freedom of your own thoughts. To the contrary, you expand them, you add to them, you stop limiting yourself by excluding Christ. There is nothing that prevents you from believing and proceeding as you are. However, if you believe, only for a moment in time, it will transform you. I'd think twice about limiting my options in life to those of my friends. Even the best of friends (and I have them) can only go so far with you and then they have their own lives to lead.

You have selected chosen the evidence that you define as such and that supports you predetermined conclusion that God does not exist. Which is to your own peril. It's sad, that the infallibility of your own mind limits you to such a conclusion. If you were as open mined as you think you are you could not reach such a conclusion. You would not limit yourself to the finite amount of knowledge (truth) that you have chosen.

Believe and try it. You'll be amazed at what you'll learn. It won't happen over night, it takes time, effort and commitment. However, it will blow you mind if you start the journey and complete it. If you gave the power to create life to a human, and that human tortured the animals he created for not loving him, you would call that man evil, such is your god. Luckily, as an atheist, I am fairly certain that the evil god you believe in, who manipulates, punishes his creations for being skeptical (even though he made them skeptical) doenst exists.

@whatdoyouknowkid I cant "choose" to believe anything. Thats something that happens as an automatic process in the brain. For example, if someone starts punching me in the back of the head, I am going to "believe" I am being harmed by virtue of the stimulus I am receiving. I cannot "chose to believe" unicorns exists. I could tell myself I do, but deep inside, I know that ever never seen one, nor is there any scientific evidence of their existence. The notions of choosing to believe is absurd.

@rockman22 It just seems to happen as an automatic process, when in reality, you make the choice without thinking (reasoning) your choice. Have you ever seen a really good magic trick? The automatic part of your brain wants to believe what your eyes just saw. The logical, reasoning part of your brain is telling you it can't be real. So you either chose one or the other or you choose to suspend your believe until you have more information. You have chosen to reason your way into choosing

Faith can happen automatically, it can happen with proof (whatever on thinks is proof), it can happen with or without emotion, it can happen with trust or without trust. It is simply a choice to accept something as true ... you don't have to have reasons or proof or sustain it with the same emotion or conviction all of the time. Accepting Christ as your personal savior is like accepting a gift.

You wanted to enjoy, have, control creation but reject the creator. If you do desire a relationship with God then He has made it possible for you and anyone to do so. In other words, at the moment you don't believe Jesus Christ is you savior or that by believing you will have eternal life and not eternal condemnation and that at the moment you are already condemned because of your imperfection. Where as I believe Jesus Christ is my savior, that he was judged in my place as an unlimited atonement and that through faith, not of works, that I will have an eternal relationship with God

So I don't stand before God on my relative righteousness, I stand before Him with the righteousness of Christ imputed to me. God has redeemed me, through faith in Christ. God has done it all, he has provided the means, the gift, the offering all I can do is to accept the gift, recognize the offer, and believe ... there's no human merit involved, just the acceptance of God, His plan, His purpose
