  • bella molto bella...

  • Thank you.

  • wow

  • Thanks!

  • man... i have to memrize this story for homework

  • It's a great story. Fine assignment. Good luck!

  • bob dylan anyone?

  • Yes, that's basically the story; a story of betrayal by someone considered to be a true love. The original poem contains more verses than recorded by Spriggits in the song here. In the poem, while he's dying his mother is asking him what he's leaving for his various relatives. He concludes by saying he's leaving hell for his girlfriend.

  • This song was originally about someone named Lord Randal, who got home to his mother and had dinner with his girlfriend, but he wanted his mom to make his bed because he was poisoned by his girlfriend and wanted to die in his bed. Look up the poem.

  • Hi, could you post more details on Michael Foster as your link in the top-right corner does not work?..cheers!

  • Yes. For some reason they edit URLs. Just put an "s" on the end of the word "spriggits" and it should work. Thanks.

  • The "s" is already there..anyway, what does Spriggits stand for? I've searched the web for information on Michael Foster but he is almost non-existent.

  • "Spriggits" is just a nickname, from "sprig" a small shoot, twig or youth, which his uncle called him when he was born. I think the URL will work if you just put a / after the word spriggits and remove everything else coming after that. Let me know.

  • It works now..Thanks.

  • thats beautiful. thanx for posting!

  • my name is randall XD

  • wow

  • lol im doin a project on that

  • do anybody know if there's in youtube the ballad "the rime of the ancient mariner"?

i mean the ballad, not the iron maiden's song

  • "The Mariner" was originally a poem, epic actually. An epic is a long narrative poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and is nearly nothing like the song. The only similarity I have noticed was the first four lines. It isn't on youtube, but if you look it up, you may be able to find the poem. It's 626 lines. BTW, I love the song.

  • Absolutely terrific! I love this ballad *_*

  • Glad you liked it. Thanks for taking the time to leave a good comment.
