@EvilxMerlin APG81 is not even developped and it is ONLY planned to be installed on F-35 and on F-22 later...now it is only APG77 on the F-22. PAK FA ALREADY HAS 3D thrust vectoring..HO36 IRBIS-E will on PAK FA but APG77 capacities are lower than HO35 IRBIS-E which installed on Su-35С... F-22 take off distance = 915 meters..PAK FA =350 meters. And it`s without the fact that PAK FA is the new platform as F-15 or Su-27 for their time but F-22 is ONLY single plane...do researches before comments!
People seem to forget, there were only two of these planes built, and both were later mothballed as they failed to do much of anything, mostly because one of them you know CRASHED and BURNED. That being said, the NATO designation for the Su-37 is the same as the Su-27, the Flanker. Nato would never name this aircraft the Terminator, as its a FIGHTER and NATO fighter codes always start with F. Terminator is a T, there is no NATO reporting name that starts with T.

It was named Flanker F since it started as another Su-27 variant. Su-27M it was called AKA original Su-35
Not true 711 crashed during a flight back to the testing facility. It was still the 2nd of only two Su-37's. No denying that it taught Russia quite a bit, but a Su-30MKI still isn't an Su-37.
@EvilxMerlin It IS superior. thanks to canted TVC nozzles it can turn even better then Su-37. It has Israeli, french and Indian avionics which make it every bit competitive with the western examples. As for the weight - Its turn rate and energy bleed is superior to everything without supercruise.
As for Russians not being able to afford it - They have something that kick both Su-37 and Su-30MKI in the head. Its called Su-35S.
It still doesn't have a superior radar system... The point is BOTH the Super Bug and F-22 have supercurise and are able to outturn the MKI, and would be its biggest competitors. Not to mention both have superior radar systems, sensor systems, and one of them is stealth. There is no doubt the Su family is GREAT aircraft, but there are better out there. The Super Bug has beat the MKI in several other nations fly-offs.
Serious question. Can this plane perform those maneuvers while fully loaded or is this a airshow plane with just enough fuel to fly at demonstrations for a few minutes? Also, it's kind of hard for this plane to be a "Raptor killer" when it's not even in production (even the Su-35 has very low numbers built last I checked) and countries like India are likely to fly more than Russia or China when they steal the plans for it and build their own. Either way, impressive plane.
@Yakko77 Cant answer your question although i would lean towards in being able to do all that clean only. As for the F22 killer. I dont believe it's meant to be that, i believe the pak 50 is being designed to play in the same field as the f22.
The Pak-FA (T-50) isn't as stealthy, isn't as fast and doesn't have as good avionics package (especially radar) as the F-22. Its will be (in 2016 if it doesn't slip again) lower cost Gen 5 fighter.
@EvilxMerlin you are wrong...wait for the PAK FA will go to the AF and then will speak...if you want to speak about F-22 and PAK FA abilities right now, without weaponry - so PAK FA wins this competition...it is faster, cheaper, will have more progressive radar system even APG-81, its range almost twice bigger than F-22, it needs less runway for takeoff, 3D thrust vectoring against 2D of F-22 (more maneuvreability) and so on.

No denying that the Su-37 is a gorgeous piece of machinery that outmaneuvers literally any machine in the sky presently. Sadly, that sort of agility just doesn't have much purpose anymore, not with missle technology as it is. That said, if missles weren't the mainstay armament of air to air combat, and it was entirely guns (Like it should be), no question this thing would be a god in the sky.
Found out today that in a recent multinational mock combat test of the F-22, it was proved that it had no more greater stealth characteristics than an F-16! For as much money the F-22 required for it's development; if you take away it's 'stealth' advantage, you will see only a moderate improvement over it's predecessors at the cost of $34 billion+ to the taxpaying citizens of the US. The SU-37 has many advantages over the F-22, in maneuverability alone it outperforms....

Oh yeah, I`m not talking about MiG-29, I`m talking about modern airplanes: from Su-27 to Su-PAK FA. You should try to find out what were the the results of the F-22 versus the Eurofighter Typhoon. The F-22, which costs twice as much money got it`s ass kicked so hard USAF decided to stop playing and put it into a modernization program!
In a dogfight the F-22 doesn`t stand a chance, it's more of a stealth jet with no other capabilities, unlike the PAK-FA that has incredible maneuverability and stealth at the same time, not mentioning the thrust or stability.
I never said you should like them, I just said Russia has better planes at this moment, and that the F-22 project actually proved to be a huge failure for the USAF. Personally, the only US plane I like is the F-15, which was the best until the Su-30 made it`s appearance. Russia is also preparing a 5th generation SAM - to give you an ideea of how good that is: if stationed in Washington it is capable of engaging targets as far away as Charlotte and Buffalo.

Serious question. Can this plane perform those maneuvers while fully loaded or is this a airshow plane with just enough fuel to fly at demonstrations for a few minutes? Also, it's kind of hard for this plane to be a "Raptor killer" when it's not even in production (even the Su-35 has very low numbers built last I checked) and countries like India are likely to fly more than Russia or China when they steal the plans for it and build their own. Either way, impressive plane.

@Yakko77 Cant answer your question although i would lean towards in being able to do all that clean only. As for the F22 killer. I dont believe it's meant to be that, i believe the pak 50 is being designed to play in the same field as the f22.

The Pak-FA (T-50) isn't as stealthy, isn't as fast and doesn't have as good avionics package (especially radar) as the F-22. Its will be (in 2016 if it doesn't slip again) lower cost Gen 5 fighter.

@EvilxMerlin you are wrong...wait for the PAK FA will go to the AF and then will speak...if you want to speak about F-22 and PAK FA abilities right now, without weaponry - so PAK FA wins this competition...it is faster, cheaper, will have more progressive radar system even APG-81, its range almost twice bigger than F-22, it needs less runway for takeoff, 3D thrust vectoring against 2D of F-22 (more maneuvreability) and so on.

@Yakko77 Still, its pretty impressive when you think about the size of these airframes, they're massive. Most people dont realise theyre about 3/4 again the size of an f 15. It's really quite impressive they can do that with such a large frame.

No denying that the Su-37 is a gorgeous piece of machinery that outmaneuvers literally any machine in the sky presently. Sadly, that sort of agility just doesn't have much purpose anymore, not with missle technology as it is. That said, if missles weren't the mainstay armament of air to air combat, and it was entirely guns (Like it should be), no question this thing would be a god in the sky.

Found out today that in a recent multinational mock combat test of the F-22, it was proved that it had no more greater stealth characteristics than an F-16! For as much money the F-22 required for it's development; if you take away it's 'stealth' advantage, you will see only a moderate improvement over it's predecessors at the cost of $34 billion+ to the taxpaying citizens of the US. The SU-37 has many advantages over the F-22, in maneuverability alone it outperforms....

I am a pilot myself, and I believe the SU 37 and the F 22 are about equal overall, The only thing the F22 has over the SU 37 is stealth, If the F22 is spotted it's simply game over if against an SU 37

F22 has stealth in one radar range only (standard one), it's visible perfectly in all the others, long-wavelength range in particular. It's impossible to be invisible for all of them. Nothing personal, just physics =__=
Since Russians found it, Sukhoi (Su) and all the other military objects have both spotting systems.

Structural:
-cracks in the aircraft`s aft boom where the horizontal tail attaches to the fuselage.
-cracks in “titanium casting” materials near the engine.
Computer problems:
- The brain of the F-22 is its common integrated processors, which use the Intel i960MX microprocessor. An obsolete 32-bit processor that operates at speeds of 25 Mhz.

@GoringSS plasma stealth is not new, it was invented in the US decades ago and the first plane to use it was an SR-71(plasma stealth was not fielded on the rest). but there is a reason that we didnt use plasma stealth. because it is useless against certain kinds of radars. but the F-22 retains its stealth no matter what radar is directed at it. you idiots need to learn that US planes ARE the best,it has been proven MANY times so history would just end up repeating itself again if we went to war.

I never said you should like them, I just said Russia has better planes at this moment, and that the F-22 project actually proved to be a huge failure for the USAF. Personally, the only US plane I like is the F-15, which was the best until the Su-30 made it`s appearance. Russia is also preparing a 5th generation SAM - to give you an ideea of how good that is: if stationed in Washington it is capable of engaging targets as far away as Charlotte and Buffalo.

Только ещё добавлю 2 вещи . 1-финты в воздухе ,это и правда очень красиво и эффектно,НО в современном бою вряд ли даст большое преимущество,так как уже не 43 год и летчики не видят друг друга и не палят из пушек ,а все решают умные ракеты воздух-воздух с дальностью полёта более 100км и умная авионика !
