im usually not the biggest fan of djs but fuck man, you're awesome and you've definately made me realise djs arent just some dude behind a computer. i also like some of the music youve played, can you reccomend some records with really funky drums?
@truesouljs I'm sorry I click out if the video before he said that. I'm on iPod so I can't comment and watch. Anyway I use a djx 100 cuz it was free and my gemini broke. I don't like it because it doesn't have many features but I do like the 700 that I have used. So what's rong with the 750? Mabye I've been oblivious but I like behringer. Pls explain ur side.
@boogerman087 No mate it's the Pioneer DJM600 which has been discontinued because they now have the 700 & 800. By the way Pioneer are very expensive I paid €550 for a DJM400...Only 2 channels but a great mixer with effects & a sampler. Also NO BEHRINGER PRODUCT IS WORTH $230!! I used have a DJX700. Paid €300 for it. The eq lights stopped working after a month, the on/off effect button got stuck down soon after & the sound was terrible. DONT WASTE CASH ON BEHRINGER!! Peace out...DJTrueSoul.
just noticed you had a 4 channel mixer too, my brother has a similar mixer and i see him using 2 channels per turntable, not sure exactly how he does it but it could be right in one and left in the other. Just thought i'd mention this feel free to experiment with it yourself too.

Srry if this is an annoyingly frequently asked question, but where can i get some cheap VINYL (not CDJ) turntables? and not like a record player, i mean an actual dj turntable.
i have been a turntablist for about 10 years, ill try to give u some valuable information. you cant get cheap vinyl turntalbes. (u can but its really not a good idea) the platter will lag very hard makin it very frustrating and impossible to scratch, needles will jump etc. techniques 1200 have been around for 30 years for a reason. i would recomend getting 1 tech 12 and 1 very cheap turntable then replaceing it later. (vinyl costs alot and ur better off putting that money into good decks).
What type of music do u listen to? is it something that involves heavy scratching like hiphop/breaks or is it something that is more mixing like trance?
what are your goals as a dj? do you wanna play in clubs/housepartys or are you more of a home hobbyist? what is your price range?
if you are looking for a beginer mixing system
Numark CD Mix 2 all in 1 console its cheap and reliable and gives you a good intro into the world of dj.
continued: if you are looking for more of a "hip hop battle style" gemini makes some cheap record turntables that are good for beginers. Numark makes some very nice mixers for the price. just make sure the cross fader is adjustable and reliable (cheap faders need constant replaceing) as this is the most important thing for scratching
the deck might skip if u really scratch hard but just buy an unskipable scratch record to fix this. then upgrade to tech12s later.
continued again: there is upsides and downsides to both records and cdjs
cds: pros: tracks are free off the net and you will have unlimited music to choose from cons: its not records and scratching generally isnt as good even on $1000 cdjs
records: pros: scratching is best, i find u have better control over a track for fine mixing. you look cooler then cds
cons: records cost alot of money, eventually you will need serato scratch (look it up) harder to learn with no tap tempo
the best cds are getting there but nothin will ever beat a tech 12. if you are willing to drop $1000 for wicked cdjs u might as well just buy 1200s and serato scratch live wich is a very professional setup. if you cant get 1200s make sure the deck is direct drive, belt drive is garbage. do you have any ideas what kind of setup you are lookin at and what price range? gimme a name and link :)
break beats depending on wat instruments are in the song are easy if you have a snare in the song your basically got a breakbeat! im new to djin but i got the breakbeats!

Hip Hop was founded and created by cutting old jazz, soul, funk, rock breaks up etc. Cutting breaks up was pioneered by the likes of Kool DJ Herc, Grandmaster Flash, The Original Jazzy Jay and so many other influential pioneers from the hip hop culture. To answer your question, yes!
there are 2 guys that did a mix for the back2back tenminmix (bangbrothers) and they've got some pretty damn sweet cuts in there. i'd check it out for more stuff like this. 10* vid j
Great video. Your cutting skills are good and it was very well executed in the video.

nope, the closest you can get is a QFO I guess, or serato with a couple of good turntables but you must have a good laptop to minimize the delay.
