I think it turns using disk brakes on each side :P

The steering servo only operates the brakes. With steering at neutral, both brakes are disengaged. When turning right for example, the right side brake is engaged. How strongly it is applied depends on how far right the steering is pushed on the controller. When making a complete turn right (without moving forward), the right side brake has the track completely locked, and all power is applied to the left track through a rear differential. A very simple and reliable design.
