I'm 48 and although my body isn't perfect, I've made dramatic changes by STRENGTH TRAINING in addition to doing cardio (running, step aerobics, biking). I do squats, lunges and stepping up and down a bench with dumbells on my shoulders. Floorwork is effective too but the most important thing is CONSISTENCY with anything you do.

@lilythatgirl I'm right there with you. Try going pilates. That's what I am doing. Go on here and type in "Winsor Pilates - Buns and Thigh Sculpting" and do parts 1 through 4. They work! :] Just stay consistent with it. Good luck!
I am 5'5, 130 lbs and 24 years old and I have horrible cellulite on the back of my thighs and even some on the front.
I run sprints 5-6 days per week, strength train 3-4 days per week (HEAVY weight), I figure skate, and clean houses for a living. I am a very active person AND I eat well.
I STILL HAVE DISGUSTING CELLULITE! Deadlifting has really helped to firm up the back of my thighs...and yet, I still have the cellulite!

@jgowee from what iv heard it doesnt really matter how much you work out, it doesnt matter your active, and it doesnt matter you eat right (all those things being great) it takes certain exercises to get rid of cellulite, and they dont even really have to be hard, i USED to have cellulite, but started doing these exersises and now i dont, im still getting rid of some on the back of my legs but from personal experience it takes exercises like these, its more of tighting up the skin not the muscle

@mukgugirl you want to consider interval training, or short bursts of high intensity exercises with lower intensity in between, since it prevents the lactice acidosis that may be pumping your leg muscles, also better for weight loss and fitness
@mukgugirl don't freak out. strong muscles are very important in losing weight because increased muscle mass will speed up your metabolism and make you burn more fat. in order to tone muscles and not make them bigger, do not use weights when you work your lower body. also, when you jog, engage your glutes more instead of your calves. you can do that by simultaneously squeezing your glutes as you push yourself forward with your heels instead of your toes. good luck! :)
These movements are very good for toning your leg muscles. Cellulite won't go away, but the overall appearance of your lower body will get a boost. The big problem is motivation. That's my worst enemy. I did everything she did, I feel great, but I wander if I get enough motivation to continue. The only thing I know is DO NOT WASTE your money for anti-cellulite creams. They don't work. Use a moisturizer if needed, massage, and gym. Not easy, but that's it.
after about a month of doing these, 3x a week i looked in the mirror and smiled cuz i could seriously see some tone in my legs and hopefully in about 2 more months ill be ready to wear shorts, really looking forward to seeing more results :D

Chris, these are great exercises once a person is further along in their fitness goals. I recommend squats, plies and mini lunges to my crowd, too. Always start slow and easy, fewer reps until you build up gently. Otherwise, you can't walk the next day!! Your body will tell you when you've done too many too soon!

i been doing this for about almost a month n u would not believe the big amount of cellulite i have lost.i do it every day even though she said 3 times a week i started every day 15 of each one.now im doing 4 sets of 15 on each one it started painfull now i love doing it :)

The first time I've done these exercises my legs were like jell-o! I couldn't get up, sit down, or walk without saying, "Ow...." I've noticed an improvement though and I'm happy. ^.^ great vid!

@LadyMirabell I've used the exercise (from all her videos) for my upcoming wedding, and I've done well with them all! Lost 10lbs and toned up quite a bit in the past 2 weeks. Of course, that maybe different for you, and cardio is important. Fastest way to lose weight by cardio is fast paced walking.

Im trying to get motivated myself and with vidoes like this it gives me ideas on how to do so. What also helps me is saving music vidoes and workingout to them and just dancing. Im trying to get into ballet form and these ballet techniques that were incorporated in this clip are really helpful. Doing this several times a day along with good cardio is sure to help as well as leaving the sugar and breads alone.

you dont need to be arnold swharzenegger in one month take your time but make it usefull :P

Chris, these are great exercises once a person is further along in their fitness goals. I recommend squats, plies and mini lunges to my crowd, too. Always start slow and easy, fewer reps until you build up gently. Otherwise, you can't walk the next day!! Your body will tell you when you've done too many too soon!
