I am 22 years old and positively OBSESSED with these boys! The Beatles will never die! One day, my children, should I have any, will know who they were, as will their children, and THEIR children! I'll see to it! Lol not a day in my life goes by that at least one Beatles song doesn't play. Long live the Fab Four!
Can't even fathom what these lads were thinking when they got what they desired. It's like I want what I want but don't know experience. It overwhelms us. Be careful what you want. No wonder they had to go to a guru and meditate. Lesson well learned.
I bet the next morning, those girls lost their voices ;D I sure would love to experience that kind of thing - especially after watching The Beatles live.
George: well all the ones who did come to see us we hope you enjoyed the show and thanks for coming. And all the ones who wanted to go but couldn't go, we'll be back next year and hope you go then and all the ones who didn't wanna go and don't like us well... Hello." hahaha Hahahahahahahaha
Shea Stadium DVD @ Amazon / GREAT remastered version with opening acts and Beatles interviews. They close with I'm Down! My favorite track on it is Dizzy Miss Lizzy. John lennon, the true and only KING of Rock & Roll.
Aw they sound tired and look tried too. Listen to there voices there not bad but it sounds as though it was distorted alittle. I wonder how many songs they played that night. The Beatles rock! Rock on Paul and Ringo. RIP John and George.
John was not confronting Paul. He was asking Paul and George what the next song would be and when Paul said "which is the title song", he figured it out and walked back to his mic. Mystery solved.
@TheIntruders Yeah. Rename this video to: "The Beatles Live At The Shea Stadium 4 (Paul "boos" the cops and George asks what the next song is") Serious.
if mark chapman had killed john lennon during the height of beatlemania i dont think they would be a prison in the usa that coud have protected him !!! december 8 1980 was such a terrible night the world lost such a great singer and musician and songwriter rest in peace john lennon your music will live on generations to come !!!
When they cut back from the crowd to the stage at about 0:19 Paul is clearly saying something else but the audio is edited so it appears he has just finished booing. John may be pissed about something else but him walking up does not come directly after the boos. It is definitely edited. So let's stop debating about what his motivations were. Pretty sure he just wanted to know what song was next, but if he was pissed and confronting him it must've been about something else.
@feelthejoy Bullshit ! Paul got carried away by the boos. It appears as tho John is saying " Shut up..... Paul " and John looks pissed off so Paul suddenly carries on to annonce " HELP " with a sheepish face. Normally, I dont agree with John. But, if he was chastising Paul for his silly display, kudos to John to just want the concert to keep moving on !
I think John would have been rather pleased if he startyed a riot... ahah no i'm joking. But i always took his reaction more for a "What are you doing?? Lets get on with the show" ahahah.
John was NOT displeased by Paul's booing of the cops. He just didn't know what Paul was booing at and was asking him why he was booing. Believe me John was no big friend of the police.
John was certainly about the show. You are supposed to believe he hated it and wanted to quit almost before it began. Perhaps that was his sentiment when Yoko came around but here he is all about the Beatles. Best foot forward, professionalism, etc.
WELL, THE FAN IS SCREAMING, TRYING TO RUN TO TOUCH THE BEATLES. PAUL SAYS BOO BOO BOO. WELL, JOHN GETS ANGRY. THE BOOS ARE NOT EDITED. IT HAPPENED REALLY. JOHN WAS EL HERMANO MAYOR ENTRE PAUL Y ÉL. SÓLO LE INCREPÓ POR SUS BOOS. ESO ES TODO. Y CLARO, QUEDÓ FILMADO.
Watch the film closely-When John approaches Paul at 0:19, Paul isn't "booing". It's obviously edited. Paul is speaking into the mic with the original audio missing. John doesn't really look upset. My guess is he is uncertain about which song Paul is about to introduce. I think John would have been just as likely to boo the cops chasing down a fan as Paul would.
@stratman123 I think we see John as the leader here. He's pissed. "What the fuck are you doing?" with just a look to settle Paul out. We like to think of John as the one who'd flip off the cops - but he's a professional entertainer here and wants nothing more than a smooth continuation of the show.
@1967mustanggta I would bet that John couldn't even HEAR Paul booing. They've always made it clear that they COULD NOT hear themselves playing, so how would he even hear Paul softly booing? I think he's trying to figure out which song Paul is introducing next. When Paul starts describing it, John figures it out. When you see John approaching Paul, you can see that Paul is talking but you don't hear anything-so obviously the film was edited. Yes, Paul was booing earlier, but probably not RIGHT b4
@stratman123 I don't know. Surely not - I mean I know they had that kind of humor in them. But I just realized Paul is not "leading" the crowd but going along with them. But John comes around and gets in his face as livid as a coach would with his QB who just made a horrible call on his own outside the playbook "What the hell? Where did that come from?" All with a look that Paul would certainly understand. (my opinion of course)
I don't really think what Paul did was that big of a deal:P I mean, I could barely hear him boo or whatever... but oh well...
And I love the Beatles soo much! And I love Paul's voice in the second song... And I love John's keyboard playing ahaha They are just amazing in everyway possible.
Paul wasn't booing the cops. He was reflecting the crowd's booing of the cops. He was more concerned with his bass and the next song than what the cops were doing.
you know it just occured to me that They only sang 12 songs for alittle over 30 mins. Man what a rip off. I bet those people paid alot of money for those tickets and they only got 12 songs...ok i did alittle research and It cost $5.75 for a ticket that's $41.05 in todays standards. They had six albums of songs to pick from how could they only pick 12? Other than that the Beatles are great. The REAL kings of Rock and Roll...not Elvis!!!
@Superpepsiman20 WOAH $5.75 was like $41.05?! Hollyyy shitt!!! Dude, that's still not that much. 41 bucks to see the greatest band on earth??! Ahaha.....
@brittnaynichhole True, hon'..I've always sensed that, too.Paul looks a little intimidated at having upset John a little. It just goes to demonstrate one of the things that made John the leader of his group. You can see the respect that Paul gives him..not wanting to ruffle his feathers.
John ( the leader ) is surely upset with Paul ...That look, stance, brisk posture says it all..Anyway, what wonderful showmen the Beatles "are"..jolly good show..
@bufonoise I agree with you... Those cops were protecting them! Paul's behaviour was not suitable to the situation. I think he was a bit immature in that period... Anyway, great concert!!!! Love The Beatles!
...of a major "flare-up" from John. Frankly, I think John was right to express his displeasure with Paul's reaction because Paul could have unwittedly incited a riot, so.. @TheMaRHarrison Oh,.I was actually saying the opposite..that I didn't see that John appeared very angry at Paul..just mildly annoyed that he' "booed". Thank you for your compliment! I just thought it might help, you know? In all honesty, I was looking specifically for evidence of this "boo" and I had to search for awhile to find it and that's how I came upon your vid. @SalmonelaKid Paul booed into the mic..people can HEAR that and SEE it. When someone as powerful as The Beatles does something like that, it has the potential to create a chain reaction. Just common sense.
@TheMaRHarrison LOL! It actually insinuates that Paul knew he was doing something wrong at best..& at worst it makes you think he was afraid of John (I sincerely hope not!). Somebody recently told me about this & made it sound like John got very angry at Paul, but I don't see that here. I see that John walked over to Paul & maybe said something like, "Cut it out, Paul"..& then double-checked to make sure he wasn't still trying to "boo"..& then calmly walked away.
