Hey man, your videos are the BEST! I was wandering what you think about Optimum Nutrition Creatine Powder? I saw that you take N.O Xplode but any comments on the ON Creatine Powder? THank for your input!
I love your videos! and all your workouts are great! following your workouts and eating 200G grams of protein I gained 15 pounds of muscle in 4 1/2 months, then lost 8 pounds of fat in one month. But the way you descibe how football players should come off the line is just funny bro. when you were demonstrating a lineman going from starting position to standing straight up (for deadlift) i saw you getting pummeled. standing straight up like that will get you knocked on your butt so fast...
curious, when I do bench press I find that my left pec always feels more worked than my right. I have tried everything to correct this to include working with a spotter. The result is that my left pec is stronger and a good size larger than my right. How would I correct this, and why does it happen at all? Have you ever heard of anyone correcting uneven chest muscles, scott? Great video by the way, ill try this out next week.
what do you think of "Human Trainer the home workout system", the "TRX" or any Suspension Training String? do you think that I could get big as u guys if I use this methods? I mean of course, not using only this, but combining it width the "Iron gym" a nice pair of dumbels, a couple or bars and a bench, I could build a mini house gym right?
LOL, When you got on the treadmill I was laughing so hard, I thought of half of us Hermanites laying on the floor at the back of that treadmill after cranking it up that fast. Scott. have you ever thought about doing a video of outtakes you've had.
Hey, Bro I just wondering.... I'm a pretty big guy I'm 6' 1" 225 ish and I play high school football. I just have this one trouble area that i have been working on that i just cant get rid of. i have what you would call man boobs but i have a strong upper pec and i can kinda feel my lower pec but i just have that fat on top of it. i have been doing decline for a while and its helping but i was wondering if you knew anything else that would help speed of the transformation from fat to muscle?
@TravisFortune Depending on your genes and how much body fat you have, it could be very hard to get rid of that by just training alone. Cardio in the morning on an empty stomach would be your best bet for loosing bodyfat. But some people cant get rid of that no matter how much they train because of the breast tissue thats built up from to much estrogen. Theres actually a surgery for that called gynecomastia surgery where they take that breast tissue out and any access fat to tighten it up
good workout, but with the deadlifts, i'd say after each rep put the weight down, means on each rep you have to overcome inertia so should help more with explosive strength
I used to take N.O. explode but now for my pre-workout i inhale vaporized marijuana and also drink a pot of coffee. i found that the only ingredient i needed from the N.O. was just the caffeine for the motivation and f**k all that creatine. i also just enjoy smoking weed.
this is such a wrong wrong wrong way to start running...with the treadmill on the fastest...you lose what? 20 seconds? and have total chance of falling...not a great advice this time, scottie
@ScottHermanFitness When I am doing deadlift, i am not able to maintain a "push out" chest when I bent, resulting in a deep curve on my upper back. However, I have minimal difficulty lifting the bar such that my spine returns to an upright position. Should I use a lighter weight or continue with what I am doing.
hey Scott love the workout....i know your an mma fighter and so am i....you should post some mma training workouts....like training explosion, mobility and reaction
How much weight combined did you use with the dumbells? How much weight did you use with the bench press also? I'm just starting off and now sure on how much weight to use on my dumbells and on my barbell weights when I bench press. ? Thank you :) Great videos!!!
you probably get this question all the time but isnt quite difficult to get into the personal training industry and be succesful, im going back to college to study sport and fitness and then onto sport and exercise sciences and at 23 years old already would you say that was too old?
Great video Scott!!, i was wondering if you could make a video on how to increase your vertical. I play basketball and football and i really want to be able to dunk a basketball
i've started doing a lot of plyometics (jump training) lately and i gotta say it is the ultimate calorie burning workout. I'm getting faster, stronger and leaner everyday, doing those jump squats with the medicine ball is one the best exercises anybody can do
great video scott! i have a question. does creatine and caffeine cancel each other out? i have heard that it does and i figured that you would know if this is correct or not. thanks. :)
scott i need advice on when to incorporate shoulder excersizes into my routine, during my back workout, or during my arms workout?! please help thanks
The advice " during your rest i want you to keep moving around . . . dont stand still!" is totally unecessary. Dont get me wrong i love your videos and am a subscriber but to get the most out of your muscles on each set the best thing to do is stay completely still and sit down if possible. Especially for a routine like this focused on power.
@SeMb2 That's not true at all, you want to get MORE blood to the muscles so they can bring oxygen and all kinds of good stuff to them to get ready for the next lift. I didnt say bounce around like a NUT, but dont stand still man! :)
@ScottHermanFitness Very true. Its called the Venus Return. By keeping moving (not running around like a mentalist...just a few paces here and there) it allows the deoxygenated blood to be pumped back to the heart to complete the cycle and fresh oxygenated blood to be pumped back to the muscles.
Thank you man I REALLY needed this because im trying my BEST to start over this boy for next season and EVERYONE laughs even my coaches laugh when I say that I'm GOING to start over him next year so seriously man THANKS ALOT!!!
This great I'm assuming you'll do other sports? Basketball next if you could, look into some vertical increases for us if you can, cuz thats one of the most confusing parts fitness it seems, everyone seems to have their own theory on it, but what's right!?
@senech25 Disagree hes got his arms at a right angle and extends only at the elbow. How is that working the chest? Maybe try the exercise with correcy form before crtiquing
I am afraid to do deadlift because I can injure my back or my knees. Can somebody help me explain how I do it, while still guaranteeing not to get injured. Thanks
Scott, when you do any type of squat, should your knees stay behind your toes? I always thought this was the right form but I always see people going past. Isn't this bad for your knees in the future?
Hey scott, im 16 years old and i wanna build up mass to my back or not exactly mass but extend my soulders and back.So i heard from a lot of people that i should do a lot of upper back and shoulders so i registered in your site so i could look up in the diagram for muscle gain exercises. unfortunately to do that i got to subscribe but i dont have money to do so. I guess its unfair to ask you to recommend me some exercises for building up mass .Never the less i admire you and follow your routines
@idrinkvideos you should do everything and its free to subscribe / watch all his videos on youtube.
Pull ups, push ups, bench press, squats, deadlifts, shoulder press will work all your major muscle groups which is what you need as a beginner... especially at your age. It is very silly (and typical teenage) to say I want arms and abs so only do tons of ab + arm exercises. Doesn't work that way.
Hey Scott! I really like your videos!!! Keep up the good work!!! I have a little request for you... I have had a knee surgery 3 years ago (anterior cruciate).. So, i 'd like you to make a video about strengthening a knee, but also doing it without the risk of side injuries. Thank you in advance!!! (Please forgive me for my english, i'm from Greece and i'm not that fluent)
@grigoriy123 Belts are usually used for high intensity lifts that require a large amount of core support. By pressing out against the belt you can produce higher intra-abdominal pressure, which makes your torso more rigid. During a deadlift or back squat, this helps you keep your torso solid so you can lift more weight.
i don't mean to be rude but if you want to mimic the line i would recommend a half dead lift because if you actuality play on the line when you stand strait up you get knocked on your ass as my old coach would say and a also recommend an incline Wide grip Bench Press for the same reason
My suggestion is to go all the way up because if you can lift a TON of weight all the way up, then in the game when you only have to go half-way, you should be able to almost double the power with less movement. Kind of like when you run cross country.. the races are 3.1 miles, but in practice you run 9-15 miles a day so the 3.1 feels like nothing :)
@ScottHermanFitness yea i thought about that right after i posted that comment like how we push the blocking slead for like a minute and the average play lasts only seven seconds

could you got on a diet that makes you look more cut an RIPPED up_OILED up_JAMAICAN under the sun to give us an example of how your meal plans work.
id suggest what i call a caveman diet: ((what u can eat below))
tuna or grilled chicken; raw fish; quinoa; hard boiled eggs; raw vegetables and fruit; daily supplement. (*oatmeal in the morning*)
do a lot of cardio to get that 5% to -5% and take fish oil to replace that bad fat w/ good

@wss355 that isnt rude at all my friend :)
