I don't really understand the British education system so could someone enlighten me. They keep referring to their 'class' which isn't very big. Is that the entire year 12 year group? or just like part of a bigger collective

@Jagwa3 their 'class' is the group of people doing the same subject as you. When they refer to their class they are referring to the people that they are grouped with in a particular subject. So for example, if they were doing English, their 'class' would be made up of 18 - 24 students (depending on how great the school is) out of the 100+ other students in their year studying English aswell. There would be numerous other classes. It's just a way to divide up a year group.
